Sharp Practice - We purchased a new plate via the BCR website and paid for their service to transfer the plate onto a specific vehicle. our money was collected ,We were called the next day to say "You have made an illegal transaction the new plate is younger than the vehicle we want to transfer it to. your error will cost you your fee returned less £120".
A very bullish call, no concessions, no sorry- just, you should know the law.

"Disappearing negative reviews."
I note that a previous negative review which mirrored exactly my experience has now been removed.
Previously Car registrations specified on their website that valuations for sellers would be responded to quickly initially by phone with a follow up email.
What I got was a daily voice mail which I knew would be a sales pitch from someone called Alex, but no email.
After a week when I did answer the phone I was given a derisory valuation.No email as promised and therefore nothing in writing. It appears the offer of an email has now been taken off the website.
With respect to Trust Pilot reviews, Negative reviews have a habit of disappearing whereas positives remain for more than two years
you might be forgiven for thinking that there might be some collusion with BCR and Trust Pilot.
So please copy and paste my review as I expect it too will disappear.

BCR's response did not address the issue of a foilow up email of the valuation.
My typo of the registration D1 SCJ (Exactly as laid out on the V778) could easily have been addressed instead of purporting to claim the moral high ground.
