"I rented Not The Norm beach house"
I rented Not The Norm beach house! The beach house was great, with fantastic views. We rented this house for the weekend of our wedding and it was perfect. There were some minor things that needed attention but it all worked out. A downfall with the house is that we were excited to use the hot tub but there were times where the actual pool was warmer than the hot tub.. The golf cart was very convenient!! The customer service was okay.. there would be sometimes where someone would reply to my email right away, there would be sometimes where it took a few emails for a reply, sometimes where it took weeks to reply, and even sometimes where there would be no reply so I would have to call. We had emailed about an early check in due to getting into Destin earlier and not wanting to carry our luggage around everywhere but never got a response so I called and talked to a few different people and got different answers every time. The first person said they can see there is a check out the day before we would be checking in so most likely would be able to but to call back the Monday of the week we are checking in to double check. I called Monday and the next person had said they aren’t sure of the cleaning crew and their schedule so to call back Thursday (day of check in). I called back Thursday morning and they said they had to get ahold of the supervisor of the house and would give me a call right back... never got a call back, so I decided to call back and see if there’s anyway we could drop our luggage off, talked to the same person and once again, he mentioned that he did get ahold of the supervisor and they had to let the cleaning company in, we drove by the house many times and there was never anyone at the house on Thursday, and I was told I’d be given a call right back and I never did. So we did what we had planned on Thursday and waited until later to check in. Overall, it was a great stay and I would book with Five Star Properties again!

portion of the front window was broken at the time of arrival
roof leak in pool room only visible with heavy downpour

The Hypnautic house was amazing! The house is very spacious and close to the beach. The pool and game room was awesome. We highly recommend staying at this property.

5 Star was great to work with. We had a wonderful vacation and the couple of glitches we encountered, 5 Star was quick to help us with. We will definitely rebook again next year.

"It is hard to get their Customer…"
It is hard to get their Customer Service on the phone. The pedestrian gate code on the app was wrong and they forgot to put the code for the door when our reservation was ready and it took forever to get through to customer service.

"5 O'Clock Somewhere is a Fabulous House"
5 O'Clock Somewhere is a GREAT house to rent. The pool is spectacular. Having a lake for a backyard versus another house looming over you is exceptional. The location to the beach is easy-as-pie (with added golf cart too) and gives you this fabulous pool/backyard in the process. Inside is a spacious beautiful kitchen, 2 living areas, game room, plenty of luxurious bedroom/bath options with comfy mattresses and linens. And fantastic outdoor spaces abound. Incl's 4 bikes and large golf cart too.
Working with 5 Star Properties was a wonderful experience. It makes all the difference in the world to get, not only a person on the phone, but a local person. Having not been to the area before, I was able to get helpful information whenever I needed it about location, logistics, etc. And all of my requests were followed through on, like making sure the pool heater was turned on in time to be effective on our arrival day (December), that the outside grill was cleaned and that the house was very clean. The reps were always caring, interested and energetic. They stand by their word if there is an issue.

"We rented Palazzo Del Mar for our…"
We rented Palazzo Del Mar for our wedding week. We are out of towers so we had a lot of questions. Every single time we called five star properties someone answered the phone, and they were friendly and so helpful. We were provided with a guest service contact that was also fantastic with communication and helping with our Every need throughout the week. I also have to mention that the property was just as incredible in person as it was in the photo's and we were so happy with all of it that we are already planning another trip back! THANK YOU FIVE STAR!

"Subpar Rental Property|Reservations Excellent"
Five Star Reservation and customer when reserving the home was Excellent!! The agent I work with was engaged, knew her job, and responsive. However, the Property Don't Worry Beach Happy is subpar. We've rented several beach properties in the world and is the least favorite thus far.
We arrived on the property to find beach chairs and the location had not been set up. Was advised that we would have to wait until the next day. I called the office. The Male (I have his name) was very nonchalant. In his response, he stated to me "whatever ever" which was very upsetting. I blew a fuse... He had the setup done the same day. He states the young man on the beach was new and didn't know what he was doing.
Again. the property was okay. We were not able to use the elevator as the instructions provided stated to hit the call button. There was not a call button to be found. Outside patio furniture by the pool was old, dry rotted, and needs to be replaced. The grill has NEVER been clean. We could not use it as it was filled to capacity with water and some other foreign objects. Whatever it was it was despicable.
Lastly, at 7:45 am the morning of our departure… some of my guests were leaving as they had earlier flights. A gentleman “vendor” for 5 Star Properties wanted to know if he could come to the back and clean the pool. I asked my guest(s) if they were through with the pool. They stated “no” as we had until 10 am to checkout. Their flight wasn’t leaving until 2 pm. The gentleman then stated that it would only take him 15 mins to clean the pool. He was pushy. I then advised that no, we have the home until 10 am. His response to me, “Fine, I will not be coming back” and he left. Very poor customer service.
At the end of the day... We had a great time with the mishaps.

"Needs improvement"
The house itself was great but there was room for improvement. We were only able to use the pool 1 day. The pool was dirty upon arrival. The pool vendor didn’t come out until the morning of day 3. There was a random swarm of bees around the pool on day 4. Like 100s of bees maintenance came out to spray. It really didn’t help much. Maintenance said they would call pest control. Pest control never came. There was an issue with the air on the 2nd floor. It tripped the breaker twice.
