We rented a car in Dublin from SIXT last week and broke the plastic on the left-hand mirror. We contract insurance with € 300 franchise. Can someone explain to us why they have charged us € 300 for a repair of just 50 euros ???
It doesn't seem fair or reasonable. We rely on car rental companies that do not look for their customers.
Alquilamos un coche en Dublín a SIXT la semana pasada y rompimos el plástico del intermitente del retrovisor izquierdo. Contratamos un seguro con 300€ de franquicia. Alguien puede explicarnos porque nos han cargado 300€ por una reparación de apenas 50 euros???
No me parece justo ni razonable. Confiamos en empresas de alquiler de coches que no miran por sus clientes.
Después de reclamar por correo electrónico y poniendo esta reseña, hemos podido solucionar el problema. Nos han enviado la factura de reparación del vehículo y nos han abonado la diferencia, que según Sixt fue un error. Gracias

"Do not use this company under any…"
Do not use this company under any circumstances! They will wait until you have returned the vehicle (2 months later) then steal money via your credit card claiming you damaged the vehicle. Do not get caught out, if you have already made the mistake of booking with them, make sure you photograph or film ever bit of damage to the vehicle when you pick it up and do not delete the photos, as they WILL try to extort money from you,

"Appalling experience with Sixt."
I rented a car for two weeks at Dublin airport, the delivery of the car was correct, I had booked through an intermediary, Auto Europe, with whom I had total covert, so I did not take out all-risk insurance with Sixt. Due to this they made a charge of 15OO euros as a guarantee of the car insurance franchise. On our first day we had a small accident and we broke the front wheel of the car, we notified Sixt roadside assistance that it was limited to send a tow truck to remove the car, staying an hour and a half from our destination without a car and without roadside assistance . When I returned home I found that I had been charged 1300 euros for the repair of the vehicle without returning the deposit of 1500 euros, fifteen days later I am still waiting for the return of the deposit and the sending of the repair invoice. A horrible experience that ruined my vacation. Never rent with Sixt.

"Pay the extra and go with traditional car rental."
Booked a car 3 weeks in advance (Manchester booked for Dublin Airport, Ireland pickup) included my flight number etc. When I arrived after a 35 min wait at the counter found out they did not have a car, I was told to go for a coffee in airport until one became available. After another hour a car became available. When I went to the pick up zone, again I was told to wait as it was being cleaned! In total waited 2 hours to drive off. Funny as if you are 10 mins late you will be charged for another day. The whole process was chaotic and shambolic. I have to say the staff were friendly but does not make up for poor process.

"Daylight robbery from Sixt. STAY AWAY"
We rented a car through Sixt Ireland. We were sold insurance add-ons we did not need but was impossible for us to cancel. Then, after a few hours the car broke down. We paid €200 euros for a taxi to the hotel with the promise that this would be refunded. 3 months later, I have been told that the car breakdown (out of our control) is NOT covered by insurance and the taxi fee will NOT be refunded. Truly shocking and appalling service. Stay well away people.

Sixt/ Flizzr Entreprise de voleurs A EVITER.
Conditions de paiement drastiques et vente forcée d'assurance pour 301,68 Euros. Sixt refuse les cartes de DEBIT (la majorité des cartes de paiement en France) mais également les cartes bleues REVOLUT et les cartes de CREDIT de la personne ne conduisant pas... Tout cela dans le but de forcer la vente d’une assurance et de multiplier par 3 le prix de la location. Vu le nombre d'avis similaires, cette entreprise ne devrait plus tarder à disparaître.

"We hired a 7 seater via Expedia with…"
We hired a 7 seater via Expedia with Sixt to collect at Belfast International airport. Transfer to rental shop was quick and easy. Unfortunately I thought when booking I have booked a Ford Galaxy (or similar) but was given a Kia Carens which you would not fit a suitcase in the boot whilst using 7 seats. However the staff were excellent and very accommodating and allowed us to upgrade to a minibus and ensured that we got the best value for money deal. Would book directly with Sixt rather than a third party in the future. Be careful when using the sat nav postcode given by Sixt when returning the car to Belfast International Airport. All staff we came into contact with were very helpful and friendly.

"Absalute joke"
Absalute joke, NEVER EVER rent from these people and i hope you heed my advice, i'm a Driving Instructor, i have been driving for 26 years and not as much as put a scratch on a car.
I rented an eight seater from SIXT Belfast for the weekend, when we picked it up the sun was splitting the sky's and the vehicle was gleaming, so yeah great, had the car Friday to Sunday and it was a great holiday, thoroughly enjoyed it lovely country.
So headed back to the airport to head home, dropped the vehicle off and they came out to inspect it, headed straight for the wing mirror, to me it looked like wind swept dirt off the road around the edge, the guy then proceeded to act like i had written the car off, it was a scuff, hadn't even broke the paint, rub with a bit of T-Cut if that, next thing i know i have a bill through for £215.95. Honestly the mark was about 2 cm long and about 1cm wide, i have put the image on my profile picture.
He knew exactly where to go and what he was looking for, if you check out all their reviews they all say the same, wish i had. Criminals, they should be embarrassed infact i'm embarrassed for them. DON'T TOUCH THEM WITH A BARGE POLE.

"Terrible and Rude"
Terrible! Avoid at all costs!!! Joe who works there was extremely rude. A car rental that was Advertised for £134 ended up costing over £300. I booked the car but couldn’t drive it because I haven’t had my license for 4 years. Booked through rental cars yet I read Sixt full terms on their rental cars offer which did not mention this at all. Joe did not for a second acknowledge this despite me getting up the website and asking him to show me this rule.
Joe started off saying he would do me a ‘favour’ that he usually doesn’t do. He would let me change the booking to my Dad’s name but he could only do this if we bought Sixt insurance for £180 extra (the rental was £134 and that included full insurance through rental cars) and then when I complained and told him to show me the terms, he didn’t even know where to find them.
He was very clearly making me pay this to earn extra commission for himself. After a few minutes he found them on the Sixt website (not where it was booked). He then said ‘I don’t have to give you the car’ as if he’s doing me a favour. I will never use Sixt again and will ensure I spread the word for how rude their staff are.
I manage a consulting business in London with 96% 5 star reviews. I understand customer service very well. Can’t remember the last time I expierience customer service as bad as this!!

"Sixt Ireland: Fraud to the clients!!!!"
I went to Ireland with my family during October 2018 and rent a car with Sixt. Sixt Ireland gave me a car with +98k. After I drove it for 800km the car broke down, it had a problem with the clutch. All my life, +20 years, I droved manuals cars without problem. Besides that they left me, my wife and my 2 years old daughter at 250km away from Dublin without any support, plus on the day I dropped the replacement car, another car with manual gearbox that I didn't had any problem, Sixt charged my credit card with +2000 USD stating it is due to repair the car I allegly broke. Sixt presented me a report from another car and the report of my car only came 10 days of being charged. We know as fact that this car never been maintained in a VW agent and we have serious doubts that the "engineer" that signed the damage reports is really engineer.
We tried to contact Sixt many times but for them fraud, lack of assistance to the clients, transparency and good faith aren't part of their values.
I used Sixt all my life in many countries but not anymore.
