"The best!!"
I am an avid plant collector and I've bought more plants from strings 'n' things than any other seller, I've lost count! Every plant is of the highest quality, clearly very well cared for, incredibly healthy and excellently packaged. All my plants from them are thriving! The seller is incredibly transparent, open and honest about her plants and also nothing is too much trouble, if you have questions or you want to mix and match, they are unendingly helpful! You see photos of the exact plant you will be receiving which you just don't get anywhere else, most shops picture a representation of what you will get, not the actual plant. I cannot recommend highly enough, just have one conversation with Strings 'n' things and you will see I'm right, they are my absolute go to for plants now!!

"I found stringsnthings about two months…"
I found stringsnthings about two months ago, and since then have made 4 purchases.
So far I’ve been happy with every single one. All cuttings or wet sticks are packed so beautifully and have arrived in perfect condition.
Emma is always lovely to deal with and responds quickly to messages which I really appreciate.

"Lovely experiences"
I have had very good, repeated dealings with STRINGSNTHINGS.
My first purchase was a rooted VM cutting. I purchased in winter, and was fully aware of the risk of posting cuttings out of season.
This cutting has since gone on to produce lovely new growth with a beautiful root system.
I went on to purchase a two leaf lemon and lime maranta - this cutting quickly settled and has gone from 2 to 7 leaves very happily. My Alocasia Black Velvet has grown enormously, a lemon & lime philodendron has adjusted with no issues.
An unrooted single leaf sygonium albo quickly rooted and has two new leaves, and a rooted laniata cutting has an incredible 5 new growth points!!
My cuttings always arrive packed with care, and every one purchased has gone from strength to strength. Emma is always very friendly and helpful over messages. Purchases - 6 (since 22/01/2021) Losses - 0 (Last purchase 17/04/2021)

"VM wet stick"
Got a variegated monstera wet stick cutting with lots of roots. Came packaged in moist spaghnum moss and was well protected from bouncing around the box. So happy customer here:)

"Not enough knowledge and no care for the plants"
Hindsight really can be your best friend or your worst enemy, can't it? I purchased three plants from 'Stringsnthings' as the variety of plants and the prices were appealing. However, in HINDSIGHT, I now wish I had spent my money elsewhere. The plants clearly had not been in the care of stringsnthings for very long due to the way they reacted to the journey, and the length of time they took to root (before - low and behold - eventually meeting their grisly end). I have personally had better experiences with plants travelling 6,000 miles to reach me - they have all arrived rooted, with very little transit shock or stress, which says a lot about the way they were looked after by the original grower and the length of time they were cared for before being sent. I am very experienced with rehabbing and acclimatising plants, so it really was a shock to receive the plants in such poor condition - especially as they were sent RM next day! I have therefore come to the conclusion that stringsnthings buy their plants from UK suppliers, snip the plants, and send them out before they've even had a chance to recover from their original journey. Experienced plant owners, buy at your own risk (as the odds really are 50/50), and newbies, please save your money and buy from a more reputable company with more experience.

"Lack of acclimatisation"
Bought a gloriosum cutting - large top cutting for £135 plus £20 postage. I wasn’t aware that the plant had not been acclimatised prior or post cutting. I should have asked but given the reputation of the shop and the price point I made assumptions and other reputable sellers I use are very open with this kind of information. I am confident in rooting plants and have a substantial collection, because of the business practices I would strongly recommend those new to the hobby do not purchase. Even with my experience and equipment it took nearly 3 months to even begin rooting. Because of this stress on the plant it sacrificed the leaf so I’ve paid over £150 for a wetstick. If I’d have known about the acclimatisation process (or lack thereof) I would not have bought this cutting at that price. If the plant had been acclimatised it would have rooted more quickly and not had to sacrifice the leaf which would have made it a fair price, however with the flipping business model used the plant should have been cheaper as other than chopping and p&p there has been no input from the business to warrant such a mark up. Prices may seem reasonable but with a little more research you will find this not to be the case.
EDITED TO RESPONSE TO SHOP’S COMMENT:
1. I’d like to make it clear I’m not a professional plant seller. I’ve got no skin in this game so my review is that of a genuine customer based on my experience.
2. As stated above I should have asked more questions about the health of the plant which was my mistake. I hope my review will allow others to make an informed choice and avoid a similar error in judgement.
3. The seller had no issue selling this expensive cutting to me in winter, and honestly I don’t have a problem with buying and selling plants out of season. I keep my plants in carefully monitored conditions which allows for year round growth as the plants would grow in their natural habitat. I imported plants from Ecuador which arrived around the same time as my purchase from Strings and Things. I acclimatised these myself and was able to root these quicker. This brings me back to my informed opinion that either acclimatise the plants or reflect the lack of acclimatisation in the price. I bought other cuttings at this time that were both acclimatised and not - all fared better and had prices that reflected the level of care and rehab that would be required. An unrooted cutting is a risk from anywhere, which is why I would not recommend purchasing unacclimatised cuttings if you aren’t yet experienced in rooting plants.
4. The fact that I am having to respond to a genuine review I’ve left because the sellers response is accusatory and misleading I believe says all you need to know about the customer service. My review is based on my own experience and opinion, and anyone else is welcome to make up their own mind.

"Lovely experience and will return"
I won a mystery box on a raffle, the experience was exceptional throughout. Emma contacted me to let me know that I'd won and was quick to get my prize sent out. She wrapped my plant with love and care and she really brought joy to my day.
I would 100% recommend Emma, the owner of Strings N Things to anyone looking to buy baby plants or cuttings. I will be returning as a customer x
