I had 2800 slides scanned, but many turned out to be underexposed and darker than I felt they should be. Upon pointing out my concerns to them, they agreed to re-scan. The result was remarkably good and more than satisfactory. I didn't need to reject any, as their scanning policy allows. I just received my original slides back in good shape, with no problems. I am sending another batch of over 2000 slides shortly.

Scan Cafe was amazing to work with. The email communications were helpful and kept you up to date on the project. I also called customer service. They were fabulous. I would entrust any project to ScanCafe.

"Need more up-front information"
Your customer service department was wonderful. However:
1. I sent my slides packaged in chronological order and when they were scanned the order was not maintained. This necessitated hours of work reorganizing them - now without the original slides which were dated.
2. Many of the scanned photos were grey, very light or very dark - little evidence of your touted editing -- this was ultimately corrected.
3. I did not understand that the "albums" would be created out of the boxes I sent or that once downloaded those albums would be intact and I could only share an entire album. I have one album of 240 pictures which I would have broken up had I understood the output formatting
5. I downloaded my pictures to Google pictures - and am now being advised I can not open them without giving Google access to my Photos. - I have a lot of photos in my Apple photos and am not sure I want all transferred to google photos which I think is what will happen -- need to figure this out.
6. There is a free trial period for the zip opening tool - but then I must purchase it -- I was not advised of this
4. I now have my pictures on a USB drive and my new computer has no USB port.
I shall be calling customer support for some guidance.

"High quality scans, great commuication"
Everything was organized, they communicated really well the whole way. Scans were incredible. They weren't just scanned, they were color adjusted, and it made the pictures way better. Pictures came back in perfect condition. Would highly recommend.

I was distressed that the slides came back all out of order, and in fact upside down, backwards and reversed. The actual conversion was very nice, but it will take me a tremendous amount of work to get them into a usable shape. The pictures too are out of order - perhaps matching the slides, but not appearing to be so, and that also will cost me much time to correct. The slides themselves are numbered, so even if they had arrived shuffled in shipment (which no one mentioned) it should have been possible to do them in order.
