"Another Satisfied Customer"

The process was simple and easy. Sent the pictures by mail. Pictures were scanned. I had the opportunity to review them before the final payment. Downloaded the pictures. Original pictures were mailed back. The turnaround time was much faster than I expected: about 3 weeks from the time I sent the pictures to the time they were sent back.

"Return old photos had lines across them"

When I saw the returned photos, they had lines across them. It seems as if something sharp and heavy pressed on them. The lines are not visible in the scans but only visible when you tilt the old photos under the light. They are in most of the photos. I compared with photos that I didn't sent to ScanCafe that I kept next to the ones I got back, and those don't have these lines. It is a little disturbing that my 40-60 year old photos will make me think about lines rather than old memories!

The scans were good. But I also realized, emotionally looking at scans is not as satisfying as looking at faded old photos.

"Good service but problems not resolved yet"

The service has been good, but I expected from reading the website to get actual photos and instead got dowload files. However I have not been able how to send these to relatives to see and cannot download to print they are too big. I contacted ScanCafe but have not had any reply concerning this issue. Otherwise it was good serbvice.
