Web site was clear and easy to use. Setting up travel insurance never been easier. Rates quoted were very competitive and much better than previous insurers hence change this year.

Used globelink a few times now for their annual cover including flying to the USA, we have found it to be very easy to use and customer service is quick helpful and friendly, I will always use them and would recommend them....

"You get what you pay for"

Obtaining cover online was relatively straightforward, without too many complications and at a competitive price.

However, do not buy on price alone.

Our experience of making a claim has shown us how poor the cover can be and how Globelink cleverly outsource claim handling to Rightpath Claims, so that they can put some distance between themselves and the "real business".

We would recommend that you take the time and effort to read the 25 pages of your Contract of Insurance because Rightpath know every single clause and every possible way to avoid paying items that you would automatically think are covered. If there is a way to avoid paying for anything, Rightpath will find it.

Rightpath refused to confirm that they would open a case until they had received a full medical report from the hospital in British Virgin Islands that my wife had been admitted to with a bleed on the brain. The hospital would only issue such a report when my wife was discharged. Hence, we had to pay the full cost and then hope that we could claim. They did not telephone us to discuss anything because that would have been an expense. They subsequently refused to meet the cost of emergency calls that we made to PandO Cruises Customer Care team who provided a constant stream of help and useful advice (unlike Rightpath).

Rightpath are also totally incompetent when it comes to responding quickly. Their standard response is that they will respond in 5-7 working days, even if what you have just sent them is a reply to a question that they asked. An ongoing dialogue is impossible, so expect any claim to take weeks to process.

And don't forget to get receipts for absolutely everything, including taxis, which invariably you pay for by cash. Just around 1% of our total claim was made up of taxi rides, paid for by cash. Because we didn't have receipts they weren't paid and nobody had the wit or wisdom to use any discretion. At a time when your mind isn't working as well as it should do because of the traumatic events happening around you, you'll get no sympathy or understanding.

PandO Cruises have a well-oiled "crisis" procedure and gave us the impression that they cared. Their focus on customer care and service made us want to book with them again.

Globelink and Rightpath only like you if you don't make a claim and do not take customer care and service into consideration. For our next travel insurance we will not be fooled by cheap prices. "You pay peanuts, you get monkeys" springs to mind.
