"Outstanding products and service"
Absolutely outstanding products and service. I have worn Dubarry shoes (various styles of boating shoes) for over 30 years, and never have I been disappointed.
The Dubarry Ireland site is fantastic! I even had a pair of shoes delivered the day after I played the order.

"My husband bought me a pair of Dubarry…"
My husband bought me a pair of Dubarry boots last year and almost immediately the metal emblem fell off. I contacted yourselves and you sent me a link to speak to the company who would repair them, so I contacted them, even though I thought your customer service would have assisted, and they asked for a photograph, which I sent back immediately and now nothing. I've not heard a thing back even though I've sent further emails. Firstly, this is not the best quality of boot if parts are falling off with hardly any wear especially due to the cost of them. Secondly, what sort of service is it when your going from pillar to post with no contact and thirdly after reading previous comments I really hope I'm not expected to pay for the emblem when it should not have fallen off within such a short amount of use.
Would I buy these boots again? No I wouldn't.

"Rubbish expensive boots."
What a terrible response from Dubarry to my comment about their boots !
New, means new - it does not matter where I purchased these boots from, they were unused when I got them.
The sad fact is I have wasted over £200.00 on these boots.
Dubarry - it’s about time you woke up to the poor quality of product that you are providing - you must be ignorant beyond words to dismiss all the negative reviews from people who feel they have been ripped off by purchasing a product not fit for purpose !!!
Rubbish expensive boots.
I purchased the Wexford boots as new second hand and today as my partners did, both soles have come apart. I have worn these boots a maximum of 20 times !
They were still expensive second hand and I certainly won’t be buying another pair !
Not fit for purpose !

"Used their ‘approved’ boot repair…"
Used their ‘approved’ boot repair company in the uk. Was informed there may be delays of 6-8 weeks for boots to be returned….. nearly 11 weeks on and numerous apologies from both Dubarry and their approved repairer we are still waiting. No sign of goods being returned and nearly £100 out of pocket. Shocking customer service. Extremely disappointed, would not recommend.

"Terrible boots - DON'T GO NEAR THEM!"
If you had asked me 4 years ago what I thought to Dubarry boots I would have said they were the best in the world. My first pair of Dubarry boots I had for 8 years and they were well worn with the very occasional wax and polish. I bought them from a country show where a chap was standing in a bucket of water with an old pair on and proving their resilience and durability.
Eventually my boots had to be replaced and I spent £400 on a new pair. They lasted 13 months!! When I rang to complain about leaks and cracked leather uppers, I was told the boots were out of warranty and that I had not looked after them well enough.
Stupidly I bought a second pair and the same issues occur. Leaking boots and cracking leather. I polished these boots regularly and still they allow water ingress.
Dubarry boots are perfect for the city or for households who have butlers who polish them daily.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!
NOT THE COMPANY THEY USED TO BE!

"Don't buy these boots"
I also bought Dubarry boots thinking I was getting a high quality boot that I saw at the Hampton Classic Horse Show, a premiere show here in the U.S., a boot that was quite expensive. I took excellent care of these boots and when the sole separated from the boot I was totally shocked when Dubarry told me they could nothing to repair it and offered me a 10% discount on a future purchase. What??!! Boots that have an expiration period? My local shoe repair shop confirmed that any attempt at repair would not last. Shame on you Dubarry for advertising a boot that can withstand all kinds of abuse but not the test of time.

"I don’t often rant about anything BUT……"
I don’t often rant about anything BUT……
I invested in a £400 pair of Dubarry boots around 4 years ago. I thought I was buying into a good reputable brand - for life. It was a big investment for me but I thought I had done my research. I only ever wore them for dog walking but not on the beach. I live on the coast so purchased a pair of “Lookylikey” boots from ALDI for £40 for my beach walks, my expensive boots were for grassy walks only. I looked after my Dubarry boots, polished them and kept them safe. Not so much the Aldi boots - they were worn far more and ashamedly, slightly neglected as they were less of an investment.
Despite the Dubarry boots description saying:
“GORE-TEX lining ensures Longford boots are waterproof”
THEY LEAK!
On contacting Dubarry, I was told, and I quote:
“There are different reasons why boots develop a leak, a piece of grit or something similar can be accidentally picked up by the wearers socks when changing in our out of boots or fall in during wear. It will not always be obvious that this has occurred and the wearer will not always feel it underfoot. This foreign body may in time work through the inner protective layer and puncture the Gore-Tex lining.
There are different ways that Gore-Tex membrane can get damaged and it depends hugely on the actual wear and care on the boots and possible wear patterns as outlined, light wear or robust wear can have a bearing on the reason why the boots may eventually leak so no two circumstances are the same as no two boots receive the same.”
They offered me a 20% discount on a non sale pair of boots.
Moral of this story?
Buy 10 pairs of the Aldi boots - despite many stones and lack of maintenance, they are still waterproof and the supply will last you a lifetime!
I would be grateful for anyone passing this on as I would hate others to feel cheated, as I do, when they discover that their premium brand boots are not waterproof after all.
HOW DO YOU KNOW IT’S “ACCIDENTAL” DAMAGE? YOU HAVEN”T EVEN LOOKED AT THEM OR ASKED TO SEE THEM. THEY ARE NOT WATERPROOF BOOTS - GREAT FOR POSING AROUND TOWN BUT DEFINITELY NOT COUNTRY BOOTS, WHEREAS MY 40.00 ALDI BOOTS HAVE TAKEN EVERYTHING THAT I HAVE THROWN AT THEM AND CONTINUE TO BE WATERPROOF.

"Used Boot Repair Company on beloved…"
Used Boot Repair company service on beloved 12 year old Galway boots as sole beginning to part on left boot. Fabulous service, boots returned wrapped in tissue, conditioned and both boots sporting new welded soles. Good as new! Delighted to have my faithful walking companions back for the inevitable snow up North.

"Gelukkig wel geholpen"
Helaas geen garantie op zolen die loslaten of verpulveren. Gelukkig zijn wij geholpen door Schoenmaker Enschede in Enschede, aan de Rijnstraat 38. Dit heeft ons meer dan €300 euro bespaard op een nieuw paar! Slecht dat Dubarry hier zelf niets mee doet.
