"Last September when I started using…"

Last September when I started using MDlive (after it was advertised on BCBSNC's website) I really enjoyed the service. Very professional and helpful. Fast forward to this past May and everything went downhill fast. My provider (Martha Evans, MD) stopped contacting me to set up my regular appointments and I had no way of contacting her as the messages in your MDlive inbox have a very limited window of response time allowed. My prescription refill was denied by the provider and I had to call MDlive to get a refill as I really needed the medication. They had someone call me back quite quickly (Eiad Sabia, MD) but this guy had an attitude and knew nothing about how MDlive worked or was supposed to work. He acted irritated that I was upset that my prescription was about to run out. When I called MDlive back to try and get another appointment I was told my former provider was booked out several months and I would have to start from scratch again on their website. So basically they have left me to either wean myself off my medication or stop it cold turkey. In a nutshell with this company you are on your own. The concept seems great but the actual workings of their system need a lot of refinement. I would not recommend them to anyone who is looking for any type of treatment that can't be handled in one visit.

Update: I was just reading more reviews and noticed that someone mentioned Dr. Eiad Sabia. He was the Dr. that MDLive had call me when I coudn't get my prescription filled. I feel the same. He was very condescending and several times told me to "calm down". He obviously does not know MDLIVE procedure as he questioned everything I told him and could not understand my answers. The entire operation seems quite sketchy to me. And boo on BCBS for partnering with them and suggesting them as an option. Good luck with your search.

"Horrible and unprofessional"

Horrible and unprofessional! I had dr Scott Hacking join the video and then immediately log out and then I got you missed appointment call. I waited an hour for that appointment, then I reconnect wait 30 minutes and get a call that no one is available they can schedule my daughter be seen at 4:00pm while setting that appointment the rep then says sorry that appointment no long available now we can do 5! I just told them no thanks if they are that unprofessional, then I’d rather take my child somewhere I can trust them. They lost all my confidence in their ability to handle anything bc they can’t even get their appointment straight and their dr are unprofessional!

"TERRIBLE SERVICE"

I have been trying to get my daughter an appointment all day to no avail! Doctors either keep having “technical issues” or we get kicked out of the waiting room and get emails saying WE missed the appointment. More of a headache than it is helpful!

"I experienced an exercise related knee…"

I experienced an exercise related knee injury. I sent in photos online and contacted MDLive by phone. The MD (and attending Nurse) interviewed me and diagnosed the situation, and prescribed pharmacy and remedial steps for recovery. This was done without having to leave home. It was great to get this done in minutes rather than the hours or days typically encountered with scheduling and attending an office visit.

"Don't expect them to actually call you"

Waited for an appointment for over 3 hours. The entire time it said I would receive a call in 10 minutes or less. Then, had my appointment automatically cancelled by the company because it was taking too long. Called to try to keep my place in line and they said that I couldn't reopen my appointment that they cancelled and I would have to wait at the back of the line again. Clearly their system does not know how long you will wait and their customer service department did not care at all to help. I will never use this service again. Waste of time and money.

So easy. One phone call and you are taken care of. So informative and knowledgeable

Saved me two or three hours going to doctors office. It was convenient, doctor was knowledgeable, friendly and solved my issue. Medicine forwarded to my pharmacy. No problems. Will absolutely do again.

My appointment was very easy and quick to schedule. The doctor was friendly, courteous and took time to listen to my symptoms/concerns and answer my questions. I will definitely be using this again.
