"The doctor was fine"

The doctor was fine. Billing and customer service are horrible. I was sick and referred to MD Live by my insurance company. Supposedly no copay etc. Gave them my insurance info. I get three emails to update my insurance info I responded to them promptly. Today a $89 change appears on my card because my insurance company declined payment. Called my insurance company and they reported they were never billed. Three phone calls later I am advised that MD Live made a coding error. Three way call with Blue Cross Blue Shield and my coverage was verified. Now I am being told my refund may take 45 days. It is amazing if I owe them money they want it now; however, if the owe me money 6 weeks. Do not use this company.

"Company commits credit card and insurance fraud"

Called MD Live over 20 times to fix the same issue. They created two customer profiles for me, one of which is a decade old and has old/inaccurate insurance, and one of which is correct. They billed the wrong profile for a visit. I've told them this repeatedly, and they keep fraudulently charging me for the wrong customer profiles. They've supposedly put in an IT Support ticket weeks ago (not fixed), I've requested calls back from supervisors for weeks (never happened), and I've emailed them repeatedly, only to have them respond that I should just call. But I HAVE called, over 20 times! I'm just in this Groundhog Day loop and no one cares that they're committing both insurance fraud AND credit card fraud.

"MDLIVE customer service SUCKS!!!"

MDLIVE customer service SUCKS!!!

I missed an appointment due to no cell signal, so I fully understand why I was charged a $50 penalty. I called to explain my situation, to see if there's any adjustments possible. I had to repeat my name 3x, the last time VERY SLOOWLY and it worked. After spending 30 minutes on hold during various intervals for her to check this and check that, she ended up reading me the entire policy again, and said there's no way in hell they will adjust the payment. So i stated that 2x in the past, THEIR SYSTEM caused missed appointments and my time, as well as those of the provider's. We were not able to complete our appointments because their system failed. So should have have paid me $50 for missed appointment due to their system problems???? Why isn't this a two way street??

"Company not interested in helping"

Company not interested in helping, they just want you to enter your credit card and disregard that you have full coverage.

"I don’t think I could design a less…"

I don’t think I could design a less efficient telehealth service if I tried. There’s so many problems. There’s no way to contact your provider unless they open up the message to you. So if you need a medication refill and don’t have that chat open, you’re paying for a consultation just to get thay refill. Also, I’m trying to get my insurance info changed on my account since I switched jobs and want to try and stay with my current provider and they are making it as difficult as they possibly can.

"DO NOT PUT YOUR PAYMENT INFORMATION…"

DO NOT PUT YOUR PAYMENT INFORMATION INTO THS SITE. They will charge your out of the blue for "copays" and then you go through hell proving them wrong. HORRIFIC billing practices. YOu get the run around. I will have to file with BBB and any other gov. agency I can find to get my money back. ITS THEFT!

"They can improve by listening instead…"

They can improve by listening instead of being judgmental & condescending. It’s easy for them to sit at a computer, take a call, bill the insurance company, but not give a hoot about helping the people that call in. The day started off with Maheshkumar A Patel, & he called in Flonase & a 1960’s version of cough medicine in a gel capsule. No antibiotic for congestion, ear ache, low grade fever, & cough; problem 1. Problem 2 occurred when we called back, asked to NOT speak to him, but he snatched the call up anyways, received a text & had his name as the Provider. We answered anyways, after stating the obvious of his less than stellar diagnosis of a Virus, he lied to say it was protocol not to give antibiotics unless the patient has been sick for 7 days. Then his condescending clown of a colleague cohort called back & assumed she was going to bully a 19 year old. Not realizing said 19 year olds mother was on the phone too. The conversation ended when the bad Dr answered the question of, do you have children, & her answer evoked my response of, well then you know when your kids are sick or not right, so do I & you aren’t giving my kid your all. She then hung up with no notice. Unfortunately she never gave her name even when I asked for it. No wonder there’s a 2 star rating. Quite correct!

"I will not be using MDLive again"

I will not be using MDLive again. I first tried the service during covid and had a good experience. This time, I had a negative experience and will not use it again:
-My heath insurance is now through Cigna and you need to login through Cigna rather than through MDLive directly.
- The cost of the primary care visit was $20 more than my in-person primary care option.
- The provider was 20 minutes late, and was rude. She spoke to me in a condescending tone like a child who was getting in trouble, tried to say I booked the wrong kind of appointment, and just did not have a good bedside manner.
-There was no place to leave feedback about the specific provider. While waiting for the late appointment I had called customer care who told me the provider was showing as running late on their side. I could cancel if I wanted but I would be charged.

"Scam"

They couldn't verify my insurance even though it's active so they charged me the full amount for the visit eventhough they never actually sent over the prescription, I had to go to urgent care. It's a scam

"MDLive is a waste of money/lots of red tape"

MDLive is a waste of time and money due to all of the red tape. Have a sinus infection. We have a rare instance of snow in Georgia and have been advised not to drive. Today driving conditions were fair. Called Urgent Care and due to weather conditions and it's Sunday, they suggested I come back tomorrow. MDLive did schedule an appointment and called me at the appropriate time. The doctor was very professional. My complaint is I have been in pain from this sinus infection and have been taking the maximum dose of both Ibuprofen and/or Naproxen allowed for over 5 days. I got scolded from Urgent care last time I did this that I could damage my liver. So I had my appt and was told that until 10 days had passed, this was most likely viral and they would not prescribe antibiotics. Antibiotics I have taken in the past and are part of my Cigna chart (if it had been accessible). I will need to call back after 10 days and pay $60 again. I was also told it was no guarantee I would get prescribed antibiotics so I was advised to handle this more efficiently, I should see a physician in person. Will never use this service again. Cigna encourages it, of course, but if MDLIve isn't willing to help me, it is a waste of money. Everything suggested I am already doing and could have been found from a free Google search: OTC pain meds, Sudafed, saline spray, steam with eucalyptus, or hot showers, etc. Very disappointed and frustrated that I have to live with this pain for another 3-5 days before I can get relief. Yes, the OTC works for suffering (at max or over that amount doses), but I get these every year (often several times) and it won't go away on its own. Would have been nice if the doctor had access to my medical history but I doubt it would have changed things.
