"Gun Shy"

I think the Indian physician I spoke with is “gun shy” about opioid treatment of chronic low back pain. I asked about medications for my problem and he steered the conversation to anti-inflammatories so I ended up with steroid pack which in the past was not effective. So I am rating the experience as poor. BTW I don’t shop doctors for narcotics. I was trying to avoid the cost of telemedicine appointments with my regular pain management physician.
