"New to Hipages"

New to Hipages.
It really impressed me by the speed to get connected with tradies. I posted few jobs and got instant reply within hours. I hired one for one of the jobs and the other jobs are in process, likely to hire soon.
I look forward to see the result in couple of weeks after the first job done. So far so good!

The best part was the prompt response from insulation tradesmen and painters. Those that turned up to quote then provided a written quote just as promptly.
Unfortunately, i have not heard from any handymen but i will give it some more time.

Hired an absolute idiot through these guys, floor sander that ruined my floor. Toothless to get a refund to fix the mess and then to boot they do not publish bad reviews only favourable ones. Be very wary of who they host, minimal screening despite their claim to do so.

Several years ago we used Hipages to find someone to have a look at a suspected roof truss problem.

Jon from JRN Carpentry came out, on time, and spent some time looking around but could find no problems and did not request a payment.

When we had a recent problem with the glue holding our plaster ceilings throughout our 15 yo home failing, we tried a number of plasters recommended to us by various people but they either didn't respond, or were not taking new jobs.

We then thought of Jon and again he was on time, spent time looking at the problem and promptly quoted the areas we knew about from the insurance loss assessor. (Not claimable). He was quickly able to fit our job in and on arrival we decided to have him check the rest of the house as I had done a quick check and was worried about a few additional areas. You guessed it more problems but a quote was worked out on the spot and work commenced.

Jon and his painter Robert couldn't have been more cooperative. They attended to every question promptly and curtiously and took care to cover our furniture and floors. Dust was kept to a minimum and the site was tidied up each day.

Both John and Robert were not satisfied unless we were satisfied with the work.

I highly recommend Jon as he can attend to many different types of work himself and organise other trades required, which includes Robert the painter.

In these times tradies are hard to find and you have to pay. In this case we paid for a good job and are highly satisfied.

They use unlicensed tradies and dont care. I complained about dodgy work that was over 6k and showed them receipts, they told me that they can't take action unless I go to fair trading and wait for the outcome

After making numerous calls and get few call backs I tried Hipages and the response was amazing, within three minutes of posting I had three calls from tradesmen, in the next three hours another three.
I only arranged appointments with. Four in total and they were punctual, professional and I have signed with one of them, all within three days of posting.
