"Great Quality Sofa"

The sofa is great quality and what you would expect from a handmade sofa. Delivery was smooth and the guys navigated the tight hall to perfectly place the sofa in our snug.

Only reason there isn't 5 stars is because the underside of the cushions isn't leather lined. Insted there is a black fabric liner.

We bought a 3.5 seater settee, a chair and ottoman stool, the Chesterfield Company were very helpful and polite when we needed to contact them everything went very smoothly from start to finish, The delivery day was given and everything turned up on the day, the furniture was unpacked set up where we wanted it to be and all packing was taken away, the delivery boys were great. "Classic elegance and quality"

My wife had wanted a "Sherlock Holmes" chair for her study for quite some time. We'd looked at offerings from other companies and were somewhat taken aback by the cost. £1800 for a chair? I didn't pay that much for my entire sofa and chairs in the living room.

Then we found The Chesterfield Company. We ordered a leather swatch sample of the couple of colours she liked - they arrived in a variety of the leather grades/thicknesses/aging. We picked one, put the order in and 6 weeks later two guys turned up, carried the bubble-wrapped chair into the study and unwrapped it.

It's everything she wanted and more. Lovely wood, delicious buttoned leather. Super comfortable and looks splendid.

Would I recommend this company to a friend? Absolutely. In fact I'm about to put an order in for a two-seater sofa for my office. I'm not a shill - just a very happy customer.

I bought an Arundel and Oxley both in Santa Fe Mahogany leather. Both look superb and I would not hesitate to recommend. The shape of the Arundel works really well and is is the deeper of the two.

"Great Chair, Awful Delivery"

So, the chair arrived and is as beautiful and comfortable as expected. An option to split payments would have been nice but, hey ho.

My main issue was that the chair, which is wider than the average door was not delivered by people with the insurance to help get it into my house. When the delivery costs over 10% of the price, I expected them to be qualified to remove a door from its hinges to get it into the property. Although they were friendly, they still left the door unsecured outside my property and left me with no tools and no way to get it into the house. 2 hours later and it was in and, although I am extremely happy with the chair, I will think twice before using this service again.
