"Item not as depicted on website"

When the chairs arrived, the castors and legs that I had chosen specifically with the sales staff as 'the same as the ones on the website' were nothing like. To make matters worse, I reported this by email and had no response, i then tried again and was told basically that in the small print - the style could change. This was conveyed quite rudely to me and I don't generally take offence.

After spending £1300 of my hard earned savings I expected better

I was very impressed by the quality, simplicity and well-organised approach of this company; even going to some lengths to assist in getting a delivery at a time to suit my complicated schedule, once the sofa was ready. Very pleased with the sofa itself too, which is beautiful. Highly recommended.

We ordered two sofas, had to wait a few weeks for delivery, but when delivered they were fantastic. The sofas are impressive, feel very luxurious especially considering the decent price, and though our door is pretty narrow the delivery people managed to squeeze them in with a great deal of skill. Very impressed, would order again.

Ordered two three seater sofas in the leather Chesterfield style. The website was easy to use and there was a good choice of leathers and was able to choose a selection of swatches which arrived in no time. After placing the order we had to wait a few weeks, but this was no problem as I was re-decorating the lounge. Delivery was arranged and the sofas arrived on time. The delivery men were extremely polite and very helpful and took all packaging away with them. My partner and I, plus all our friends are very impressed with the sofas and would definitely recommend the Chesterfield Company for their excellent choice, quality of build and delivery service.

I was cautious about ordering two large sofas on the internet, but had nothing to worry about. From my first expression of interest, to the delivery of the furniture, I found the company and their delivery men to be courteous and efficient. Any queries I had were quickly dealt with and I am so happy that I gave my custom to such a firm.
A bonus is that everything is made in GB - firms such as this need support and when I am next buying furniture, this shall be the first I company I call.
Very highly recommended.

These suites are so well built and solid.
We'd bought suites before from the usual lot, but they were really flimsy and were made from cheap materials.
This suite is really comfortable and solid, thoroughly built and will last for ages!

"awful customer service, good products"

We saw the products on the internet, then went to see them one Saturday, around Xmas time. They took our order and they made a mistake with one product, which we realized when we got the order confirmation via e-mail and we end up paying an extra £99.
That Saturday when we placed our order, we agreed on a delivery date: end of March. Later on, they wanted to deliver the order by mid February and I had to discuss/fight with them for them to keep my order in the warehouse and them paying the storage cost. When the order finally arrived, they forgot to deliver the cleaning kit, it was a freeby, included in the order as a special promotion or something. I had to contact them to get it delivered, I got it, without a letter, e-mail, explanation... apologies....
Products are good, customer experience was really bad. I will not recommend "The Chesterfield Company" to any friends or family.
