Our trip to South America in May-July this year was the trip of a life time. This was the first time we used a travel agent to arrange our holiday and we are so very thankful for the professional planning and communication we received from Lara at Eclipse. Our holiday was expertly organised and allowed input from us so we ended up with a holiday that was perfectly tailored to our needs, as well as being safe and completely stress free. We cannot speak highly enough about the wonderful service we received from Lara and Eclipse.

We traveled through Sth America with Ecilipse and their associated local agents. So polite so helpful, assisted with toilets, coffee, tickets paid for. Fast pass access to some of our outings.Had no issues with them at all. We had issues..minor with airline and Ecilipse sorted with us over a 3 hour period in locating bags re booked into same hotel and driver pickup.We left a per charger at a hotel and they had it sent to one of our later hotels on our trip. Like Big Brother watching over us. We made great friends with our guides. They never asked for tips etc but we did give tip as they so deserved it and it was no more than $10 to $15 for a lot of one on one attention. Only 4 of us so no big tour setup.

"Trip to Alaska and Arctic cruise"

Trip to Kulik Fishing and bear lodge and cruise to Arctic with Ponant.

Friendly service, but poor attention to detail with wrong information given in terms of cruise dates and current information in terms of the fishing and be a lodge in Alaska.
Very enjoyable trip but mistakes cost us money in terms of extra accommodation needed and we made a poor choice for the package to Kulik Lodge based on erroneous information given. Next time I think I will organise the trip myself on the Internet.

WE were absolutely thrilled with the trip to Southern Africa which we did this August for 14 days. It was a great itinerary which Hilary designed and suited us perfectly with variety and balance of action and adventure. Including staying at 3 wildlife parks.

"Generally Good"

Our experience with Eclipse was generally very good in respect of the Kenyan & Tanzania sectors. In Kenya we had a slow transfer between two camps as the receiving camp vehicle was 25 minutes late.
In Tanzania the Chaka Camp was quite remote and involved a 60 minute drive from the main game viewing area (Mara River) to the camp. We had to do this on 4 occasions which was a bit tedious.
In Egypt we used Abercrombie & Kent and we were disappointed that on 2 occasions without warning we were subjected to ambush selling- we had specifically requested that this not occur. Interestingly in the detailed itinerary there was no mention of the ambush selling.
A & K also failed to advise us of a 45 minute rescheduling of a flight in Egypt which had involved a 4am hotel departure.
Interestingly other A & K passengers were aware of the rescheduling of the flight 2 days beforehand. Generally A & K got us to airports way too early even in smaller locations where there was no traffic or few flights departing from the airport (ie Aswan twice).
WE also used Chrismar Travel in Cairo and believe they offer better value for money than A&K.

My trip started from Namibia, across Botzwana and ended in Zimbabwe at Victoria Falls. I would highly recommend Eclipse Travel for Africa. Organisation was excellent and lodges were all of a high standard. Our guide anticipated our every need and nothing was too much trouble. The drivers were extremely good and I felt safe the entire time.
