After initial contact with and feedback from Eclipse, I was quite confident that I had the correct agent for my 6 week tour and cruise around South America. Everything went according to plan.

We had a fantastic time visiting many countries in South America. We saw some amazing, awe inspiring sights ranging from artistic graffiti in Valparaiso, the magnificent Christ the Redeemer in Rio, the massive Iguassu Falls, to the many unbelievable ruins in Peru. Machu Picchu was incredible. To be able to witness the culture of the locals on Lake Titicaca and venture into La Paz was fabulous, not to mention all the delicious food along the way. All thanks to the super organisation of Eclipse travel, we will be talking about our trip for a long time to come!

This was a great trip. It provided a great balance of support and self-management in an unaccustomed continent. We were met and supported at all the key points between countries, set on our way and guided around the highlights of South America.

We visited Santiago and Valparaiso in Chile; Rio de Janeiro; Iguazu Falls; Buenos Aires; Cusco, Machu Picchu, Lake Titicaca and Lima in Peru.

The highlights were Iguazu Falls; Ipanema and Copacabana beaches and Christ the Redeemer in Rio; and all the Peru sights.

Hotels were well located and generally provided good amenity and service. It was predominantly a cultural experience and filled that role well.

As well as The Best of South America we included Easter Island, The Avenue of Volcanoes in Ecuador and a cruise around the Galapagos Islands. From our flights which we changed around to suit our needs having long layovers to visit family overseas to stopovers to catch up with long ago childhood friends along with the absolutely magical, cultural experience that we had in Cuba.
