A big Thank you to Eclipse Travel for organizing our fabulous holiday.
It was even better than I had hoped, the guides were all fabulous, I have always organised our overseas holidays and to be honest was wondering if the extra money spent on this one was going to be worth it?
Well we were both blown away with all the transfers and guides. It was really easy and I didn’t have to worry about anything. We were both really happy that we had decided to go through Eclipse and really appreciated all the work that you put in to make it the holiday of a lifetime
We loved every day and every destination.
Our favourite was the Galapagos and we really wished that we had have had an extra day on both Santa Cruz and Isabella islands, one of our stand out days was the day trip to North Seymore island, our guide Xavier was so good we felt like we were in a David Attenborough documentary.
South America exceeded our expectations so much, that we our already talking about going back, maybe Bolivia, Argentina and Patagonia.
I cannot thank you enough for such an amazing experience, as you can probably tell we loved this holiday and were very sad to have to come home.

Organisation and service on and before the trip was excellent. The only problem encounter was on the flight to Oslo via Tronso. Passport control at the airport is inadequate and resulted in a long delay that meant several passengers missed connections in Oslo. This is a problem for the Norwegians to sort out.

"Tour of Chile, Peru and Bolivia"

Almost all of our on ground experiences were excellent. Tour guides were excellent, ground transport was very good. Tours and places visited were interesting and guides went above and beyond what was required. Accommodation was great and all staff were welcoming and helpful. All the drivers were great too.
Having our own dual language astronomer for the eclipse tour made the whole experience exceptional. Dr Angel Lopez-Sanchez consistently worked to add to the experience. He enabled us to take photos of the eclipse and the night sky, set up extra stargazing times, answered all our questions and made a real effort to include the children in all activities.
Unfortunately the trip from Uyuni across the salt plains was not as well organised. The driver who met us at the airport seemed unsure whether we were the people he was picking up and where we were going. The tour group meeting us was late which was very worrying as we could not contact them .We had not been informed as to how much Bolivian money we needed or that we needed to provide most of our own drinking water. The guide was caring but was better as a driver than a guide. We often needed to question him to elicit information about the sights. (The accommodation; although basic; was clean, comfortable and the hostels were well run.)
The down side was air travel. Whether it was a problem with the original booking by eclipse travel or a problem with the LATAM booking system, every flight with LATAM had problems. We were put off one flight due to overbooking and it took them two hours to sort out the issue. Each time we checked in for a flight there was a problem with check-in. On some flights they could not seat us together. Despite the fact I paid in advance for specific seats for our return journey from South America to Australia, LATAM attempted to seat us six rows apart, and did not give me the window seat I requested.
The trip through Peru and Bolivia was amazing but exhausting and perhaps we should have taken a day’s break between each tour. Late flights meant we didn’t always get the afternoons off as programmed.

Apart from the eclipse itself, which was truly awe-inspiring, Eclipse Travel added great value to our experience by arranging fabulous destinations, travel, accommodation and transfers while we were in Argentina. They responded promptly, accurately and enthusiastically to all our questions and requests, making sure that every detail was covered and we were satisfied. It was a memorable, successful and amazing trip thanks to Eclipse Travel. I would recommend this company most highly.

Great email correspondence to the point of paying.
Nearing the trip contact could of been made to confirm the process of boarding and meeting time without prompt.
A family size document folder would be a better option than the individual leather folders.
Overall a good experience.

The trip was very enjoyable, some of the local guides were better than others of course but all were punctual and very friendly and with one exception, the lodging was top drawer. The tours were all informative but I had to wade through too many markets. A couple would have been ok but I was not on this trip to shop, probably if I would have been more involved in what the plans were I could have changed the plan. More climbing around or museums would have been my preference, especially more time at museo Larco in Lima.
