"visited the store in lower marsh…"
visited the store in lower marsh waterloo 18/07/24. i bought soda water and some flowers and went to the manned checkout as i needed some vodka. No one was at the till but the person behind the counter pointed at me, telling me there was a customer ahead of me who was browsing the red wine shelves. She then ignored me so i was left wondering what to do . I ASKED HOW LONG THIS WOULD TAKE (SHE IGNORED ME) Rather than advising the man the there was customers waiting she ignored me . After waiting i walked out DO NOT USE THIS STORE

An utter disgrace from the state of the self checkout service that has NEVER been clean to the profiling from the ‘security’ following around for no reason day after day.

"What nonsence."
After watching the commercials saying 4 beers an 2 Pizzas for £5. I went and was told the bill was £6. I said you have been advertising it is £5. I was then told it was the wrong type of Co-op. I said what the Dickens are you on about wrong type of Co-op? I was then teold there is a Yellow Co-op and a blue Co-op. I sadi well all the Co-ops have closed a total of 8 of them have closed in my area. She then said well there must be a reson for that. I said yes because you are hood winking the public. The C-op is mirepresenting the public. I will not shop at Co-op. I can see another few branches closing hopefully she will be at the Jobcenter.

"No support dogs"
I've take my support dog in 4 times to Heavitree Exeter, every time told to pick her up or leave her outside. She is special needs dog clearly marked on her harness.
These attendants and manager cannot clearly read. I will not goback again.

"DO NOT RELY ON THEIR PRESALE FOR TICKETS"
Paid for a coop membership purely to get access to a presale for a concert at their Manchester arena. The presale information on their app showed that it started at 9:30am. It in fact started at 9am, meaning that when I tried to purchase the tickets (at exactly 9:30am), all of the standing tickets were fully sold out. Had their information been accurate I would’ve been logged in for 9am to ensure I got the best chance of securing tickets. Response from the Coop is that they got the information wrong, and to try the general sale - wow, thank you for that helpful response (clearly employ some real knowledgable people?!)
Poor service, can’t get their own information on their app right meaning disappointment for their members.

"Assumption that card is faulty "
It’s a waste of time complaining to the Co-op. I have had a recurring problem with one member of the Surbiton branch not scanning my card properly when everybody else has no problem. I tried to get 59p refunded through member prices and was told my card was faulty when I made it clear that the problem was a member of staff. Co-op always respond via a no reply email address to stop you questioning their response, when it’s obvious they haven’t read the complaint properly and have taken the easy way out. On Twitter/ X they start via direct message with an automated agent (Cooper!) and then the promised human agent never responds. They changed from member points to member prices without consulting their members when it’s supposed to be owned by the membership but still allow member points to be an option for complaint then email again via a no reply email address to say the membership scheme has changed (Alannah).
However they send out a link to a feedback survey to the complaint in a format which looks exactly like a scam email, in spite of being told ten months ago that there was no visible reference to Co-op in the inbox.
Co-op don’t bother to update anything, are arrogant and disrespectful in failing to investigate a complaint and make what should be a stress free shopping experience extremely stressful and cause hassle.
I’m not surprised at the low overall grading on Trustpilot and expect it to fall even further based on my experience over the last year.
I will now avoid Co-op because it’s not worth the hassle getting them to correct THEIR mistakes.

"Co op discriminate"
I complained to the Co op for being treated as a shop lifter. I have neurological difficulties and when I spoke to the manager only to try and get to the bottom of why I was being treated that way I got excuses and no accountability. So I took it further and phoned the Co op complaints line, only to never hear anything back leaving me feeling quite disappointed.
Co op discriminate!

"Thank you Tasos at the Brighton Co-op"
Tasos was extremely helpful and kind. He made my shopping experience at this very busy Brighton store a much more enjoyable and straightforward one. Thank you Tasos!

"Pilch Lane and in general"
Shop at the Pilch Lane store often enough.
Reckon the staff get instructed not to remove shelf edge labels for offers that have expired.
You go onto cancel membership for old card that's expired and then you ring up to cancel only to be sent a link for a form which doesn't work...
Abysmal company!!
