Figi's Gifts In Good Taste

"Poor quality"
What about the fact that the cheese is extremely poor quality and the company preys on the elderly and house bound for customers?

"Never So Aggravated"
I want to start out by saying that I had always enjoyed using Figis in sending gifts to loved ones who live far away. But after this week, I will not be using their services again.
I tried to place an order on their site for 2 days & the website kept malfunctioning & would not process my order. Knowing that I was running out of time for shipment, I called Customer Service, who couldn't be more incompetent or lackadaisical. It wasn't til I threatened to use a competitor that she agreed to look up my saved contacts to help me place the orders. She never offered me any of the promotions noted in the catalog & online, plus I had to remind her of the free shipping when she quoted the price. I never got the email confirmation as requested & couldn't access my order on their website til 3 days later.
Once I saw the order, there were mistakes and I called Customer Service again where they claimed they couldn't fix the issue. When I asked about the promotions I was due, they claimed I wasn't eligible. Never once did they offer a credit, refund or any kind of retribution, even though it states they should with their 100% Satisfaction Guarantee.
Save yourself the headache & order from a company who actually provides the service they claim to offer. I know I will in the future.
sent an email on 12/15 stating my initial concerns (noted below) with no direct response to my concerns or request. After finally being able to review my order on your website today (since I never received the email confirmation I requested) I noticed that one of my orders has the name grossly misspelled. When I called customer service, they said they couldn't fix it & there was nothing they could do & it will be shipped "as is". Given your 100% satisfaction guarantee, shouldn't I have been offered a refund on this particular order??? I also asked about the Free Gift promotion, which I did not receive. The CS rep told me that I was ineligible for the offer since I used the Free Shipping. No where in your catalog or order form does it state that its an either / or promotion. And again, I was told, "sorry there is nothing I can do".
Not sure if there has been some change in management or policy, but I am appalled by how I have been treated by your company this week.

"They run numerous credit checks on you without permission"
TO ALL PEOPLE CONSIDERING PLACING A HOLIDAY ORDER WITH
FIGIS CATALOG
3200 S CENTRAL AVE MARSHFIELD WI 54449
Although I live in Florida, I thought I'd throw a little business to my home State this Holiday Season and order from one of the many FIGIS catalogs I keep getting in the mail. Because I am diligent to keep my credit score over 700, all these catalogs I get offer interest free payments begining Feb 14th, pre-approved, of
course. Usually, I don't charge things but with family out-of-State, I thought it would be convenient.
So, I went online and started placing individual orders because you get $10 off for each order over $25. My orders totalled about $300. There was no bigger discount for one large order, so I did them separate. And that's the way they checked my credit with each order, over and over, with all three credit reporting agencies,
without my social security number and without my permission! Over 6 hard inquires were made! If I had known this, I would have never ordered. I only allow inquires if I'm buying a car!
Today, I received 4 individual letters from FIGIS. One, telling me they will ship my order (to be delivered by Christmas), the Second, that they will ship my order (again to be delivered by Christmas at my request), a third, telling me my order was rejected because my credit report showed too many recent inquires, and a
four, stating the same thing.
So, I called them to cancel everything as I'm more upset about the credit inquires and the damage done to my credit rating than anything else. I asked them, why would you run a request with a reporting agency not only once when I gave you no permission, but over and over? I asked them to cancel all the orders, placed
just the other night, and not to be delivered until Christmas, and, to remove the numerous inquires placed just minutes apart from each other.
The answer?
Hang-up.
The answer after I called a second time and explained all this again?
No, we started processing the order and we won't cancel it. I asked to speak to a Supervisor.
hang-up.
The third time, when I got a Supervisor on the phone. The answer, after I threatened to call the BBB?
"O.K. we'll cancel the orders" (which we had to go through individually) and with them refusing to give me a confirmation number. So one can only hope.
But my main issue, how can you run numerous credit inquiries (several to the same agency within minutes of eachother), without permission or a social? And I want these inquiries taken off my report. Kathy, the Supervisor, said: "We don't need your social, just a name and address. And no, we will not remove the inquiries. So, there you go, Merry Christmas from FIGIS!
Tomorrow, I will call the BBB. In the mean-time I will use the Internet, the great equalizer to let you know,
DON'T EVER ORDER FROM A FIGIS CATALOG! 800-422-3444

"Worst Customer Service Experience I have EVER had"
The company failed to get the package delivered. Period. They lied about the shipping time frame, damaged the product, finally reshipped in a manner that was 2 weeks late and ultimately could not be delivered because of their choice of carriers and method of shipping. All in all, it was a totally unacceptable experience. Buy Harry and David's or ANY OTHER vendor.

"Good luck getting an order shipped"
I ordered 2 of the *same* item, shipped to 2 different folks, on Dec 15th 2010.
One shipped on time and arrived when expected(12/20). The other was "out of stock" and the order placed on hold, right before Christmas. it is currently 12/21 and I am told that the order was filled, and placed on a truck, which will leave "today, maybe tomorrow". So in essence, I placed an order near Christmas, and they waited 6 or 7 days before shipping it. Up in the air at this point if this Christmas present will arrive on the 24th, or the 27th. Customer service basically repeated "Shhhhhyeah, nothing we can do."
Had I known that the order would be so long delayed in shipping, and that I would not be notified that it was on hold, I would have taken my business elsewhere. Which I will do in the future. Order with a more reliable company.
