Aviator Gear Review
I developed a personal project to preserve the memory of Navy World War II Patrol Bombing Squadron 150 (VPB-150) for our family. I wanted to re-create their squadron patch. From old photos of my father and other members of the squadron, it was clear there had been a patch as it was visible on their flight jackets. Luckily, I found Aviator Gear and one of the company's excellent designers, Renz Alfonso, to help me create the patch from one of the squadron's decals. The process went very smoothly from start to finish. We went through many iterations of a draft patch, changing colors, backgrounds, and tweaking the subject matter. Renz facilitated all of this. His response and turnaround times were timely and short. The end result was a superb patch, which I will use to create framed memorial with the patch itself, some photos, and a brief history of the squadron's combat tour in the Central Pacific towards the end of the war. I would highly recommend Aviator Gear and Renz for any project you may have. The first user of the patch is one of my son's, who is a C-130 flight engineer in the Air Force. He took one of the patches and immediately put it on his flight suit. Other airmen wanted to trade their own patches for one of VPB-150's! Thanks again Renz for all your help.
