"Absolutely appalling"
Absolutely appalling. The level of stress and inconvenience caused by GPL due to lack of knowledge and awful communication.
Rather than tell it’s clients the different options at the beginning of the process, enabling informed choice, my parents and I had 3 weeks of hell. Over 2 years worth of bank statements were demanded from my parents, along with several other ID documents, all of which were not required by GPL at all. I am still awaiting confirmation that this documentation has been destroyed.
Thank goodness it is over. Avoid GPL at all costs.
The call handlers that I spoke to almost daily, were fantastic however. I received much more useful information from them than I did my case handler. This would have been a 1 star had it. It been for these people who I spoke to.

"Poor level of service"
Continually uploading documents to the portal with my wife's name on twice and mine missing completely, including a Mortgage Deed document.
Calling at 3pm on the day they had set for completion to request a shortfall payment, which was insufficient time to react and then quoting the wrong shortfall figure when this was requested the following morning. Once realising their mistake, adding a note on the portal informing us that we had made an underpayment on the shortfall and implying it was a customer error. This lead to the need for a further shortfall payment and a further 2 days delay to completion.
Overall very poor service and would certainly not recommend.

Excellent, efficient service...
We had a very good experience with Gordons Property Lawyers! Grace dealt with our case, all the information was managed via an online portal, with updates and clear recorded messaging and phone contact when needed. Thank you very much Grace!

Online completed the questions and Shona Sheehy kept updating me. Good trustable law firm. Would recommend to anyone.

I am very happy with the service I have received from Chloe Godwin. Remortgage offer came few days before anticipated completion date but she did everything she could and we completed on time.
The online portal is very good for communication but Chloe would call us with regular updates and she was meticulous in her work.
