My experience with Gordon lawyers -
First time using the firm for remortgage purposes.
Received documents which required signing.
Called the company for someone to go through the paperwork with me to help understand how to fill out correctly. Upon completion of this task i sent back via post.
I received an email stating it is not acceptable & that it must be filled out again. FINE!
I called up asking why this was the case as everything i did i.e filling the paperwork out was under the instruction of the advisor over the phone. (help over the phone)
I then asked for a small compensation of £20 for the inconvenience to which i was told it was my fault for not filling correctly. I argued back that i went through the docs with a colleague from the company and that i filled with help from the team before proceeding.
Nevertheless, i asked the advisor to send out compensation to which i was told the message will be passed on. Following morning ive called to chase this up of the cheque to which i was told it wont happen & it needs to be investigated of which advisor said all this. I stated do this in your own time. I wish to progress.
Again i was told in the nicest way to do1!
I stated I dont wish to continue business to which they were glad & happy to close my case!
The stage i was at was signing the documents. Which is the endgame literally!
So close yet so far!!! in the final stages ruined by own staff!
Customer service was dreadful. Not helpful!
Avoid if you can!

Efficient, proactive and the online tool kept us up to date on progress. When we did need to speak to someone to explain any part of our case we were easily able to reach someone by phone. (Our case officer was Ms. K*- M* O* ) It was a straight forward conveyancing but it was executed at the pace we required, thanks.
