"A company so predatory, it is pretty much a scam."

I mistakenly as a first time homebuyer accepted their security systems from a door to door salesman as I didn't know better years ago. But this company is horrid to deal with.

Trying to get a service tech to fix my doorbell camera for over a year before giving up, which they charge for all calls after first few months. They are expensive and one of the the worst value even if they were giving competent service. Not even mentioning the egregious terms in the contract and how horridly complex they tried to make termination as talking to employees would yield different incomplete answers on how to go about termination of services. After finally getting the ball rolling with repeated attempts and over a 2.5 month period, I finally was able to close out the cancellation with aid from the Better Business Bureau, who I whole heartedly recommend you contact to get proper responses from Fluent if you are having issues with getting them to reply and actually get your termination happening.

Simply put, do not interact with this company or buy their services. there's so many better out there that actually care about the customer and not trying to lock you into such damning contracts. Hope this review helps some others avoid the hell I went through with them, as I am finally free as of today.

RUN THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM… I took over my parents bills and saw this fluent one and a monthly cost but also an over $400 in late payments. Between calling and emails we finally got the contracts and sent to us and the original one had NO date and a signature which was my dads and then the second one had a bogus email and digital signature which was all fraudulent. My parents have never had a computer and wouldn’t know the first thing about it. These emails went back and forth from my husband to them and they wanted a number to call to resolve and my husband repeated back to them he wanted them to answer his questions about NO dates of when service began and to explain the bogus email and digital signature and its been over a month now and finally no bills. We reported them to the DOJ consumer protection, report scams & fraud. They have contacted them as well. We have an attorney who said to also send a registered letter (which we will do IF we ever receive another bill from them. My parents are elderly and they have preyed on them but basically they prey on anyone they can.

"Company is a scam"

Absolute garbage company. First, they make you sign a contract and to get out of the contract, even if you move, you have to pay the entire contract. I've been trying to contact the company for multiple days, and no one will answer a phone call when I select the cancelation department. Absolute scam.

"I have been trying to cancel my aunts…"

I have been trying to cancel my aunts alarm system since November 2023. I faxed the paperwork Fluent requested. Still i get bills from API, API tes me to contact Fluent. I have called, emailed and called again. No one answers the phone. My aunt is now deceased and i am still getting bills...what do i do? This is a way too frustrating ordeal, should not be this difficult. I have tried calling the resolution dept..no answer. On hold for 45 minutes. I would give a zero if i could.

"Resolve System Failure or Lose a Customer"

I am furious how Fluent handles new customers. For the price I paid, I expect the service and equipment installation to work. The system did not last a single 24 hour period before failing. Fluent should be doing everything to remedy this situation but instead are not returning calls, directing me to highly highly incompetent tech staff and will not send a tech on site for a full 2 weeks minimum. What am I paying for? Why on Earth should I continue as a customer when it is clear that Fluent does not prioritize my business and has failed to meet the most basic requirements of our contract together. I now have an insecure house with no one putting any attempt to resolve. I expect to hear back on what Fluent will do to resolve this situation immediately.

"Excellent support - I had to call technical support to help…"

I had to call technical support to help get
my side door sensor fixed. The sensor thought is was open when the door was actually closed. I had accidentally the sensor off the door trim when putting in a new battery and reinstalled the sensor improperly. The tech helped me over the phone and back to normal and 100% functional! Much appreciate the support!
