"Do not use the Flexible Ticket option on Ovago.com"
This is my first time using Ovago and seeing all the positive reviews on Trustpilot made me think I could trust this company. I was really wrong.
I recently booked a roundtrip ticket from NYC to Madrid and I was offered the option to add a 'Flexible Ticket' to my trip for $104.97. This option stated it would allow me to change my ticket date/time and pay the difference in ticket price if necessary. A week before my departure I needed to change my departure date. So I reached out to Ovago customer support and was told that I was unable to change my ticket. I asked them why they offered me the 'Flexible Ticket' option if my ticket wasn't applicable for it. The representative agreed and said they would put in a request for a refund.
I waited 4 days after not hearing from them and contacted customer support online to check on the status. A representative named Antonio said he was looking up my refund status and during my wait time he asked me three times to write Ovago a review and rate my experience even though he had not updated me on the status of my refund. This made me realize that probably some of the good reviews I had previously seen might have been due to users being asked/pushed to write positive reviews by customer support. I was then told that someone would get back to me on the status of my refund.
Today I received a call from the initial customer support representative who told me that there wasn't any way for them to give me a refund on the $104.97 that I paid, but that they could only give me a voucher for $100 to use on my next purchase on Ovago.
So long story short don't buy into the 'Flexible Ticket' scheme like I did and be wary of Ovago. Even though I appreciate the customer support representative for 'trying' to solve my issue I believe is pretty straight forward - don't offer a paid add on option if at the end of the day you can't deliver on it. Also I want to note that nowhere on their 'Flexible Ticket' information page does it say that they there are no refunds for this option even in the case they can't fulfill on this promise. I believe I should receive a refund on my original form of payment and not a voucher.

Amazing support received from Xander while booking my flight. They helped me to pick the best cost x benefit flight according to my preferences. Communication went quite well, and I had their support from pre-booking all the way to the ticket confirmation (by the airline).

"Canceled flight, no rebooking"
My flight from Amsterdam to London got canceled. Ovago did not notify me of this, I only found out when I reached the airport and saw the tv screen showing it was canceled. Called Ovago, took over 120 minutes for them to answer and they were not aware of this change. I was redirected to an agent who would book me onto another flight, that took another 35 minutes to connect to this other agent. He was extremely incompetent and I had to search for flights on my own to recommend he check for me. After another 120 minutes of talking with him, I was informed there were no seats on any flights until 2 days later. When I informed him that other airlines that seats, he said it was against company policy to put me on another airline, despite the airline my ticket was booked with had a codeshare agreement with the other airline the essay was free on. Had to book a seat myself for the next day using Expedia. Extremely disappointing service.

Very easy to navigate. No mandatory fees. I thought the customer live chat was fake or handled by a robot. But an agent actually replied and gave me a better deal and discount. My flight got a 20 dollars off and included flexible flight. It was my first time using a live chat service and Theo was very helpful and respectful.
