"Memorandum of Sale took forever"

I recently sold my house through Purplebricks. Initially I was very impressed with how easy to was to list, arrange and conduct viewings and manage offers, however after I had accepted an offer things went slightly downhill. Purplebricks did not make it clear to the buyer what documents they had to provide and even when chased up by myself and the buyer we were not able to ever get through to the right person or find out that documents had to be provided or where to send them. This went on for weeks.

At one point I was called by purplebricks to say that they had been talking to the buyer (who is a friend of ours) over the last few days and that the buyer would be sending the documents that day. The buyer then messaged me that this wasn't true and that Purplebricks hadn't been in touch with him at all and we were still none the wiser.

In the end it took a month to get the memorandum of sale through. I hope the rest of the process goes more smoothly...

Extremely disappointing experience when trying to arrange a house viewing. The staff were incredibly rude and unhelpful on the phone, making the entire process frustrating and unwelcoming. Despite our genuine interest in the property, we were met with a lack of professionalism and poor communication, ultimately preventing us from even viewing the house. I would not consider dealing with them again and will be avoiding them entirely in the future.

We have used PurpleBricks to sell our home and although the sale is still going through I can’t recommend the service highly enough. Our local agent Karlee Moffatt has been brilliant- she first came out to value the property in September and we eventually decided to go on the market in February but in between Karlee answered every single query I had and nothing ever seemed too much trouble- even when I asked for advice on other properties or messaged her of a weekend. When we decided to go on the market it took 3 days to go live and we sold within 48 hours. Since then follow up through the sales negotiator and sales progression has been great. Would highly recommend and I really can’t thank Karlee enough- a fantastic and personalised service was provided.
