My overall experience with Time4Writing is soso. It has the potential to be a fantastic course. I have already spoken to my education advisor at the charter school we attend informing her that this is basically a supplemental course for those that do not struggle with writing. The 8 weeks given to take the course is enough time for those that do not need to take multiple days to complete a teacher graded assignment and who will for the most part not need to resubmit multiple assignments. If your student needs more time to complete the writing and consistently needs feedback from the teacher then you will have to pay for an extension, which easily turns this class into a money pit just to not complete the course anyway. The instruction are often unclear to both the student and the parent making the course time much longer than it could be.

If the course had more teacher interaction before the assignments were submitted, not just feedback from the teacher after submission, then the course would be more practical. Instructional videos explaining the instructions and expectations for the assignments would be extremely helpful. It is not practical to expect the student to email the teacher to ask questions that they most likely don't even know they need to ask until they get feedback. Hind sight is 2020!

It is my hope that this review help Time4Writing know where improvements are needed and to inform parents and teachers of struggling writers that this is not the best course for them.

If you are looking to supplement your curriculum for a non-struggling writer, then this may be just what you are looking for.

Middle School Essay Writing helped my 8th grade son be more prepared for high school writing assignments. The topics challenged him. He received professional and helpful feedback in improving his writing. Often, he was asked to resubmit assingments. This made him reevaluate his work, edit and revise it to produce an even better essay. I appreciate all the hard work the instructor put into guiding him. I highly recommend this course for 8th graders wanting to feel more competent.

My daughter loved taking the elementary writing courses with Mrs. Zyra and Mrs. Morrow! She really learned a lot about writing and is more confident about her writing skills. The instructions and feedback were very age appropriate. I would recommend these courses.

"I do not recommend for beginning or struggling writers"

Trying to cancel time4 writing. It doesn't actually teach the kid anything. I would not recommend this for kids who already have a hard time thinking how to write. This is for kids who are able to write and want to write better.

Yes my child started where the assessment suggested. Again it was horrible. I am not interested in contacting your company for a second time. The first time was bad enough.

I'm so glad I took this course in Time4Writing! Since taking this class, I have more confidence in my writing skills. I really loved my teacher, Mrs. Derr. She was very helpful and thorough and made my learning experience exciting! I believe she is a big part of my success in passing the course. I look forward to taking more courses!

Good experience on my end as a parent, will use again. My daughter liked the writing assignments other than the ones where she had to write a narrative. Seemed to be one to many of those. Would of liked more research writing.

Worth every cent to see Tommy put out a quality project without having to personally persuade him past his inherent need to procrastinate. We both love having an outside teacher guide for writing.
