DTDC is run my a bunch of illiterate asses. They are thieves that have a business model of stealing money from customers and not providing them with the service they are obligated to do so. The company is run by individuals that don’t have an education in basics of speaking with another individuals and customers service. AVOID THIS MICKEY MOUSE COMPANY or get mugged!!! This company is a scam. All the 5 stars given to this company are almost guaranteed to be from company employees and are highly questionable.

picked up on the 29 May in London and was told that the documents would take about 3 maybe 4 days. today is the 15 June and still not delivered.
i used DTDC a few months ago to send a parcel and that took a very long time as well.
i use Parcels2go or Transglobal Express and next time i will ensure any packages are not delivered by DTDC.

"I booked for collection"
I booked for collection. And it was clear that collection date i selected same day. I called their customer care number still no one picking up the calls. Finally Vivek called me and he said delivery guys will come and collect it. Fingers crossed. Thanks for assuring the delivery.

"Shipment from UK to India"
I had to send 5 cartons and a big trolley bag from London to Mumbai and they were delivered in less than 2 weeks and in a very good condition. I was duly asked to pack the cartons myself. The pick up guys were very helpful and the sales guy Bharat made the process very easy, the entire team was quite accommodating. I would recommend DTDC any day.

"Not worth the time & money"
DPD didn't say that their delivery partner will be DTDC. Checking the reviews there are lot of complaints. DPD says 2-4 working days whereas calling DTDC they say 5-7 working days after getting the identification details which takes couple of days. Apart from that you get on the line with an unprofessional, rude and worst customer service executive who says this is normal and wait for the parcel to be delivered.
summary:
1. not being explicitly advised of the need for receiver's ID which could have been collected as part of the collection process.
2. call from DTDC asking for ID but won't tell you how to share the ID. you then make another call to find out how to share the details.
3. Not sure whether DTDC handles the ID details securely.
4. Even if you send the ID details to DTDC via email in few hours they will take 3 working days to check and start the delivery process.
5. In total took 7 working days and then comes the call from DTDC saying customs has been charged (in fact it is the GST) and you need to come, pay the money and collect the parcel.
6. Someone in your family then has to travel all the way to DTDC office and pay the money. No receipt will be provided for this money. I was wondering your job is to deliver the parcel but why making us to collect the parcel?
7. Finally you got the parcel and open it to see few ants running around (even though the parcel didn't contain anything to attract them and the box was well packed with 3 layers of bubble wrap). Not sure whether they store the parcels in a safe place.

"Very poor service"
Very poor service . I am very disappointed . I didn’t even want to give that one star, not worth it.
Last year my parcel took 3 months to be delivered to India , cause I was told that the agent with whom I booked with didn’t provide full documentation.
So this time I tried the e booking, which was worse. Didn’t allow me to print the labels, after which I received an email saying the customer service would call me, for which I didn’t receive any calls. I had to get in touch with the Uk team after which I was told the parcel had been sent.
More then 10 days now my parcel is still stuck in Delhi which was meant to be delivered for Christmas to my folks as a Christmas present .
Got in touch with the Delhi office who asked me to get in touch with the Uk team. Send emails , tried to get in touch after which I was assured that the parcel would reach the destination on 20/12/2019.
The status shows the parcel is still held up in Delhi. No response from the Uk team to rectify the issue.
Very very poor service.

And now I will receive a reply back to this feedback saying, ohhh we are sorry for the inconvenience... we are trying to solve the issues and blah blahh blahhh.
Don’t even give me that crap... just find out why the parcel is held up and send it ASAP . You people don’t care about sentiments .

"Collection refused"
I had booked a collection from DTDC, paying extra for the collection. While booking I had read clearly that for collection the pickup guy is responsible for printing and attaching the label. But the courier guy came and went away, mentioning that we are responsible for printing and attaching the label.
On contacting the customer support, they sent me a long list of terms and conditions, which in the end mentions: "In some cases, you will be provided with labels over emails even if you have chosen collection/pickup ...". So, I am supposed to spend an eternity reading and deducing their terms and conditions and finding out what is the meaning of 'some cases' and if I fall into it or not. No where, was it mentioned clearly that I need to print the label or how to deduce if I need to print the label. They did offer to pick it up again but only if I print the label as sent on email, but I did not find any label itself. Later, when specifically pointed out, only then I came to know there is a small 'View' link on the email to print the label which is hardly noticeable and why would you search for it when you do not even know that you fall in the 'some cases' category. Even, if I had got that, it was not possible to print it at such a short notice as I was at work while the courier was at my house. Worst was their attitude, which seems to suggest that I should be knowing their systems like the back of my hand and it was my fault and that they will do a big favour to me by refunding my amount.
Have booked pickup with other couriers, who are so much more professional and never ever had an issues. Avoid DTDC.
