This is first time that I rented car from AVIA. They offer the best price compare to other company. They gave us a new car, so it is very reliable. The staffs are very nice and helpful too.

There were no surprises. The process for both picking up and returning the car was very easy and fast

Die gebuchte Abholung des Fahrzeuges war um 13:00Uhr. Mein Flug hatte Verspätung was ich jedoch um 13:20Uhr, als die Abflugzeit bei der Startdestination definitiv bekannt war, der Firma Avia telefonisch mitgeteilt habe. Um ca. 16:00Uhr kam ich am Flughafen Zagreb an und meldete mich unverzüglich am Schalter von Avia. Man berechnete mir trotzdem 40 Euro Gebühr für die Verspätung was ich eine absolute Frechheit finde. Für die eigentliche Miete habe ich für 3 Tage insgesamt 30 Euro bezahlt.
Ich gebe zu, in den AGB’s steht, dass eine Tagesmiete zusätzlich verrechnet wir wenn das Fahrzeug mehr als 59 Minuten zu spät abgeholt wird. Das wären dann Theoretisch, basierend auf meiner Buchung, 10 Euro Zuschlag gewesen. Aber der Vermieter machte dafür einfach andere Preise geltend weil die ursprüngliche Buchung nicht direkt bei Avia getätigt wurde.
Die Regelung mit den 59 Minuten ist ja grundsätzlich ein völliger Blödsinn, weil dem Vermieter während den ordentlichen Öffnungszeiten keinerlei Mehraufwände entstehen. Das Auto steht bereit, die Mitarbeiter sind sowieso vor Ort, es musste niemand auf mich warte oder länger arbeiten. Null Mehraufwand! Aber Trotzdem Abkassiert.
Zusätzlich habe ich innerhalb dieser 59 Minuten Frist meine Verspätung telefonisch angekündigt, der Vermieter wusste also Bescheid dass ich das Fahrzeug noch abholen werde. Auch die Aussage, es sei leider keine Buchungsnummer des Fluges angegeben worden dann hätte man auf die Gebühr verzichten können ist eine Witz, es hätte nämlich nichts an der ganzen Situation geändert. Und zu guter letzt durfte ich auch noch 80! Euro obendrauf bezahlen weil ich so ehrlich war uns sagte dass ich mit dem Auto nach Slowenien fahren will. Auf meine Frage für was genau diese Gebühr denn sei, wurde gesagt das sei einfach so. Der Grund dafür ist mir bis heute nicht plausibel. Auch hier entsteht dem Vermieter null Mehraufwand!
Zusammengefasst: Für 30Euro ein Auto gebucht, 40 Euro Gebühr wegen Verspätung bezahlt und noch 80Euro für den Grenzübertritt. Macht total 150 statt 30Euro. Das ist reine Abzocke, niemals wieder mit Avia rent a car!

Got several error messages in the car right after pickup. This accursed one-two times every minute.
Airbag, brakes and low tyre pressure.
Contacted Avia at Split to tell them about this issue. It was both unsafe and irritating.
After a while they said the car was perfectly safe to drive(!).
They offered me to go back to their location to switch to an other car. I wouldn’t do this regarding it would take me a couple of hours to drive back to the airport and so on. I asked if they could bring a new car to my location, but didn’t get any response to this request.
I would appreciate a discount/partial refund for my bad experience with Avia.

"The car was provided in good condition…"

The car was provided in good condition within an hour of my enquiry. Much attention was made to the state of the car bodywork etc. The car was found to be reliable and frugal. My only complaint being that I was asked to drop aff the car at an hotel in Zagreb but there was nobody from Avia to receive tge car and check that I had delivered the xar in the same condition as I received it. Also there was very little space outside the hotel to park the car.

The ease of the rental process and the professionalism of the AVIA team were outstanding. We did a lot of research on how and where to rent a car, and eventually visited the tourist information center in Zadar. They suggested a few car rental companies, and we decided to go with AVIA Rent a Car, located near the old town. We asked about rental costs, insurance, and a child seat, and they provided everything we needed. They gave us a brand new car, which we absolutely loved, making our road trip even better. We picked up the car in Zadar and returned it at Pula Airport—simple and efficient! We were very pleased with their service and highly recommend them.
