"AVOID at any cost - a Subscription Trap."

AVOID: After my initial complaint about LiveCareer and their hidden subscription trap, I was offered a paltry partial repayment of 1 month.
I left a bad review as I was deceived into setting up an account and their contract is oblique and shameful in how it is operated.
I received a reply, containing this line 'As a sign of goodwill, we have already processed refunds for the charges.', what they don't make clear is that they will only refund 3 months max. I contacted them again for escalation as I had never received any emails from them that they insisted were sent about a contract and the terms. This is easily proven from the email account on the day they say it was sent. The escalation request resulted in an additional single month refund, although the agent advised that a further 8 refunds could be applied but were discretionary.
I contacted again to advise that I expected a further 7, but no additional refunds were made.
So after a dubious and misleading contract set up, they then publically write to advise they had refunded the charges as goodwill, but then don't fully refund, is just a despicable way to run a business.

Hidden charges which when you are a student makes a big impact on your finances. What was considered a £2.99 one off service now a £20 per month subscription. Add Live career to an ever growing list of companies doing more harm than good. Will always support those companies which are open and transparent and very clear on charges. This company is not one of them!
