"Slow delivery & incorrect allergy list"
Slow delivery, long time to respond to emails - one package arrived after 15 days then the other was being held at Customs (not their fault) finally arriving 19 days after placing order.
French fancy Cakes that arrived in the first order had 1 day shelf life left on the 2 packets so coudlnt even send them on to my daughter.
More serious perhaps is that I am allergic to Egg and the Soup I ordered did not say it contained egg yet upon closer inspection on arrival it DID say it may contain egg.
I will not be using again!

A great website and all the best British stuff to enjoy from the USA! Fast delivery and everything arrived in perfect shape, even the hula hoops were unbroken… Tesco can’t do that in a 3 mile delivery and your packers managed it over 3,000 miles, nice work!!

"Problem with the delivery"
I had ordered 2 cans of Ma Made orange marmelade. It was not correctly packaged and both cans were embossed on the delivery. There were nothing to do with them. I have written to British essentials and was reimbursed for the amount I had paid. Only the duties were not reimbursed.

Thank you so much - what a lifesaver! My daughter was missing HP sauce and I was running low on teabags. We are unable travel at the moment because of the situation here, so we are thrilled to receive my package / beautifully packed dnd promptly delivered. It was worth paying a premium for delivery! I mentioned when ordering that I would like the items to be packed in something sturdy so that they don't get crushed on the way to Croatia (because that's how my first order arived). And they really did. Due to the first experience and the long wait for delivery bith times, one star less.

If you are a member of the Armed Forces, this company is NOT for you!
The company’s despatch time is tardy at best. I gave my order ample time to arrive to me prior to going on exercise and yet the company failed to send out my order within a reasonable amount of time and were inflexible with changing the delivery address. (DHL, fortunately, were professional and reliable enough to handle this for me).
Their customer service representative “Holly” is unprofessional, discourteous and impertinent. There was absolutely no respect conveyed in her inadequate response to my email and when corrected, persisted in her impertinent language.
Customer service has clearly gone downhill - and British Essentials has the worst I think I’ve experienced in a long time and I’m ashamed at how poorly this reflects my country - given that they conduct business overseas. Disgraceful.
