"Incompetent and lacking transparency"
I made an order on 16/12 to ship to Austria. The website was misleading with no clear indication that they ship from UK with Royal Mail. My order was not dispatched until 20/12. the email said it would arrive within 4-6 days - it arrived on 3/12 - too late for Xmas and too late for New Year. My family had gathered together for these celebrations and waited for these English delights to make our Xmas a home from home. Now I am left with a lot of products that are of no use outside of the annual family Xmas and there's no way to get a refund even though the boxes remain unopened. I spent over 200 Euros for bad and deceptive service. If these people were honest and offering a good service, they should be more transparent with their delivery times and methods as well as fulfilment over a major holiday. Thankfully there are other UK food suppliers in Europe.

"This Took 2 Tries, But…"
The second try at the delivery worked out very well and I will use your service again most likely.

"Good product but taxes sucks"
Good product! Taxes to my country was too high so I won't be ordering again but that's not your fault. I don't regret ordering it the one time though, it was worth it. But for now considering taxes to EU it is probably more worth it to travel to UK and buying the items there (perhaps from you) and bringing them home.

"Still waiting for my order!!!"
I went on to British Essentials store website as I was referred to them from friends who had used them before. When I went on to their website, it said if I ordered now (21 December) I would get the goods before Christmas. It also said that the delivery fee would only be $49 to Canada via a 1-3 day DHL courier.
I processed my order which came to over $350 CAD plus the delivery which turned out to be $75 (not $49) and was hoping to get an update from them.
NOTHING.
Not a call email or acknowledgement. No goods, no courier delivery tracking number or date. But the money has been taken! I only received a booking reference from the company.
Needless to say I did not have any of the products (which was mainly food) for my guests at Christmas. This was really disappointing for me and my family.
I have emailed and contacted British Essentials over 10 times and all I get is a generic pre programmed response email to wait for a delivery note.
It is now the 2 of January [12 days after my order] and I’ve still not heard from them. Probably the worst customer service experience I have ever had!
Right now I just want my money back as I feel I have been robbed!

"Never Received Order"
I placed a pretty large and expensive order on November 8th, and the last update received was that it was in transit on Nov 18th. It has yet to be received, no updates have been provided even after inquiring about the delay, and because the status still states that it is in transit, there is no way for me to get my money back.

"The package was dispatched very quickly…"
The package was dispatched very quickly but it took weeks for the delivery company to get it any further. I assume the Bulgarian postal service took over then which ground the process to a halt

"Scratches my British itch!"
I'm able to get my English fix here in the States. Always surprised at how quickly I receive my order considering its being sent from overseas.
