On July 24th, I ordered a pair of Specialized S-Works 6 shoes through Erik's Web Store as they had my size in stock and seemed like a reputable dealer. On the 25th, I received an email from Erik's stating they were preparing my order for shipment and would be processing my shipment on the 26th. When I called to inquire whether "processing" meant actually shipping them out, I was told that they had to pull the shoes from one of their retail stores and that they would in fact ship out on the 26th. The shoes arrived in a timely fashion on the 28th. When I got the shoes, though new in the box, I could tell that they had been tried on - to be expected at a retail shop and not a big deal. The shoes were a bit too tight (not Erik's fault), so on July 31st I called Erik's and spoke with Geoff, arranging to return the shoes and at the same time ordering a new pair a size larger. Geoff informed me that this pair too had to be pulled from a retail store and transported to what I imagined was their web store. He said there was a small chance they would get there in time to ship out that same day, but would definitely ship next day at the very latest. I heard nothing until Aug 3rd, four days after I placed this second order, when I received an email notification of shipment with the tracking number. Again, the shoes arrived in a timely manner just two days later. When I opened this box, with the shoes I also found a shoe bag, new cleat bolts, manuals, and cardboard forms in both shoes. None of these items were included with the first pair of shoes that were shipped. I already have shoe bags and plenty of cleat bolts, so I frankly didn't even think about them not being in the first box. However, once I received the replacement pair it became blatantly obvious. It's also not the biggest of deals, but when you buy something you expect to get everything that's supposed to be included, especially when you're spending $400 on a pair of shoes. Lastly, I don't know if Erik's truly has a separately stocked "web store" or not, but in my case both pairs of shoes had to be sourced from one of their retail locations. I get it that these shoes are not necessarily a highly stocked & sold item, but if you know that you're going to have to transport them to, and then send from your web store location (causing a delay in the chain), maybe you should just have the retail location that actually has the goods ship directly? And though I wasn't really upset about the delay, having the staff tell you that they might ship out the same day or the next at the very latest, and then not shipping them until day four - without further explanation - is just not good business practice. The new pair of S-Works are just fine, but all things considered the overall shopping experience was less than average and enough to keep me from shopping again at Erik's.

Major delay in receiving my order. No communication from the company at all. Finally received notice my package shipped. Failed to mention in 2 packages. Sent e-mail about partial order no response. The packaging of the bike was horrible. Missing screws and tools. No manual or thank you for order. I do not recommend.
