This is to share my experience of working with Stow Family Law over the course of 15 months.

I believe my case has been extraordinary complicated due to the nature of the assets, the claimants and not only the UK but also the law in Iran in respect of dealing with the assets and the matrimonial pot.

I spent fairly good amount of time and researched about various law firms in Reading before I made my mind to appoint Stow Family as my legal rep on my case. I am honest and confident to recommend this law firm for their professionalism, ethics, knowledge, client care and fairness.

I believe I absolutely made the right choice by having them, I benefited a lot from their wise approach and guidance in several specific occasions. They were fully engaged about my case from the beginning to the end and they managed to achieve the best possible outcome for me.

I worked with my solicitor Pooja Patel for the duration of 15 months, she is just amazing, not only as a solicitor but also as a human. We developed a very good working relationship and she treated my case like it’s her own siblings / family member. The amount of care she put in to my case was incredible, not only from the legal point of view but also to save my costs and reduce the bills. She has always been available with immediate response to answer my questions, providing me advice and assisting me on the matter. Once again, I would like to thank Pooja for her excellent service.

Rossana Hounslow, the team leader, who had to get engage due to complications and sensitivity of my case. Her professional approach, in depth knowledge of the family law and her strategic thinking is truly valuable. She represented my case truly and in fair from the bottom of her heart, she is intelligent, precise and meticulous on the matters, she is committed and consciousness and did her best to protect me not only on my rights but also from the stresses on the day of Final hearing. I have always felt that I am in good hands with her. Her assessment and demonstration on my case before the judge in the Final hearing was conducted in a fair and most professional way which played a significant role to achieve the best result on my case. This proceeding has been extremely difficult due to various unforeseen challenges that occurred to me. In this 15 month, being away from my immediate family and relatives and as a single Dad who had to look after my kids and also to perform my career and responsibilities at work, the team above have been extremely helpful and created an environment for me that I felt I am not alone, I have always been heard and valued and I am very thankful.

I believe this firm is a team of professional and they care about you. They will do the best endeavour to protect you and your rights in a professional manner.

It was not really easy to provide my feedback on the services I received from the team above and in some cases I found it difficult to express my feelings into words as English is my second language, I hope I could demonstrate how good they are in their works.

"Hiding fees, not compassionate, dishonest. "

If you call for an initial inquiry, the "care assistants" will tell you that you must pay upfront £200-400/hr x3 + vat, there are no other options. I received this information twice from two different representatives. After identifying which solicitor in my area I might like to work with, I made a call back asking for more details about the handling of fees and how the client is kept informed of hours of work undertaken. The representative was defensive, combative and talking over me.

When I asked to speak to someone else a team leader informed me that there was an option to pay £345 for a one-off appointment. She was also brusque and clearly not interested in answering questions or listening to concerns. So I guess they don't advertise this option although it would benefit many.

Sadly, these calls did not match their claims of empathic and compassionate care. The first rep was great, and I expected the same tone when I called back, but wow, what was a shift and a surprise in being told only after really pressing for more details that I could get advice without paying £1000-£1500 upfront. Not impressed.
