". . .UPDATED again again"

ED NOTE: since placing this review on Trust Pilot the proprietor of Repair My Appliance has contacted me personally. He acknowledged that communication should have been better. He has undertaken to donate the money I paid to Charity, at my request, and to supply me with a screen grab when he has done that. As noted in my previous revision I have undertaken to edit this review in two months time. I have in the spirit of good will removed the correspondence I received from Repair My Appliance yesterday.

The original substance of the review stands for now. Read on.

I booked a repair through the Glotech web portal for an engineer to come and service my fridge two months ago. Repair My Appliance's engineer turned up as scheduled diagnosed the issue and even put in a temporary fix ( a second hand rubber washer. At the time I was very impressed with the service). But after many unanswered calls, texts and emails I have to say the management of this company is poor. They took their £71.94 and promptly found that ordering new fridge seals and a metal M8 washer was problematic

A simple email or phone call at any stage saying we can't do this job Graham, or we have checked and LG just don't make that seal anymore would have made a significant difference. (addendum for clarity: On the 7th of August one month after the initial visit I received an email from the proprietor saying that he had had difficulties sourcing the seal - this came after I chased his engineer -at that stage he was still waiting to hear from LG).

So I am her to tell others to avoid the issues I experienced and my own error.

On top of this, I would note you will have a hard time reaching the proprietor at any time on his mobile or his 0800 number, nobody picks up. He did however pick up straight away when his technician rang through to arrange payment on the day.

In essence, I paid for some one to come to my house and tell me my fridge had a problem...I knew that when I booked them online.

Finally, I had no reaction from Glotech either when I made an enquiry of them and their affiliation ( I have also reviewed Glotech).

Save yourself some stress and find a tradesman who lives in your town. Speak to them directly and don't pay a thing until they finish the job they start.

Again, as gesture of goodwill to the business and hoping that my experience was a one-off I will remove this review in two-months time. Glotech have not responded.

I called out Repair My Appliance to look at my cooker as it was not heating up. Visited on the same day, diagnosed and repaired as part was carried on their van!
Excellent service, highly recommend.

Engineer came in on a Saturday and fixed the washing machine in 20 minutes. Professional and friendly service. Highly recommend.

Called them out as one of my appliances has developed a fault. On the company's website it states that there is no call out fee. During the call I made to Repair My Appliance at no time did the gentleman state what the charge would be or if there would be one for his engineer to come out to my home and nowhere on the website does it state this either. I was stunned when the engineer presented me with a bill. If I'd have known this I would've just ordered a new machine from Currys as they do free next day delivery - naturally installation and disposal is extra with prices clearly shown on their website. I shan't be using or recommending this shower again!
