Awful customer service
Was shipped a damaged item, very unclear returns policy on their website. Sent the item back at significant personal cost and they refused to cover the return postage. In this market it’s almost unheard of to encounter a returns policy which isn’t free. They may be (marginally) cheaper than the competition in some respects but I would pay more for customer service. Go with John Lewis - at least you get 5 years cover on electricals!

"Nightmare to receive my BBQ..."
The website works well, the confirmation come in minutes and they book the delivery for next day. Then the nightmare started. Palletways is the company responsible for the delivery and the service is terrible! They tried to deliver once, no one was at home. Didn't left a note, never call to rebook it. After a few days I called them, asking to deliver same day in the afternoon or Saturday morning, but they couldn't. They don't work in Saturdays!!!! a consumer company that provides delivery services doesn't work on Saturdays! So trying to receive my BBQ, but they set a day but can't guarantee a time, or even a period! They are asking me to spend a whole business day at home waiting for the delivery. Must be a joke!

Garden furniture purchased at an attractive price. Delivered within a few days with no problems. Good communication with Jamie in customer services. Nothing negative to say at all.

Delivery was a bit of a shambles but that was mainly due to the courier rather than them.

Bought on Thursday for next day delivery for a party on Saturday.
Stayed in all day, was told it would be between 1600 and 1700. Then told at 1630 that they would not be delivering it till the next day, couldn't give us a time, etc.
BBQ will not help, they blame the delivery people, who don't help either.
Considering the helpful competition, I just wouldn't bother with these.

I purchased a number of items to add to my Royal Doulton dinner service. Liked Dawsons site as they were very clear what was in stock and what wasn't (unlike another site where it was only after I completed my order and paid that I later received an email informing me some items would not be available for 4 months!)
Once ordered the crockery was dispatched quickly by Dawsons and arrived within the hour slot I had been texted. Items were very well packed and not a single breakage - absolutely delighted with the products and service.

Very poor customer service and very slow delivery
We bought a garden furniture set in the sale that is always on , despite it saying sale ends in x number of days. They say in stock but , if thats the case why did it take 4 weeks for delivery.
If you email them to ask where your order is you will have to wait at least 2 days for a reply , then they lie and say its been dispatched when clearly it hasnt .
Ill be avoiding Dawsons and suggest you do too.

Recently purchased an Outback BBQ from Dawson's which arrived damaged.
I can't praise Jamie & Alison enough for their prompt, professional handling & speedy resolution of the issues. arising from receiving the faulty item.

Purchased 4 very nice mugs from Dawsons recently. One was damaged on receipt which they happily replaced. Can't ask for much more than that!

At first i wasn't too sure about this company as there weren't many reviews online, and some of them were fairly mixed however i decided to give them a try. I bought a kitchenaid cook processor for £399 the only other place that sold them was john lewis for £499 so for £100 difference i felt it was worth a shot. I am very glad i did as the confirmation and dispatch emails arrived very quickly and the order arrived early the next day and i was surprised to find a free decanter set in with the order too, all the items were well packaged and looked great. So far I'm extremely pleased with this company and would highly recommend it as they offered much greater service than the larger chains, and i'll definitely be buying more items from there in the future.
