"WorldStrides Visit to Virginia and DC"
Lori, our rep, and Lyndsay, our guide, were excellent! Lyndsay knows how to talk to students. She is absolutely fantastic! We have been using WorldStrides for many, many years. They know how to help organize a trip.

"Very dangerous for students with food allergies"
Very dangerous for students with food allergies. We were told that they do this all the time and there would be allergy menus and safe options available at each dinner and stop but this was not true. My child was only able to have a drink and watch her friend's eat at many of the meals and they would not allow them to order safe food back at the hotel after not being able to eat dinner. I contacted the team many times throughout the trip and each time was promised that the tour guide would advocate for her at the next stop but unfortunately that never happened.

"The food was horrible and completely…"
The food was horrible and completely Americanized for teenagers… except why they didn’t offer pizza in Italy is beyond comprehension to me. The hotels were not even mediocre, they were uncomfortable and in many times in unsafe locations. We were supposed to get a refund for an excursion and never received it. And some of the days were so jampacked that the activities felt extremely rushed. We felt completely robbed on once in a lifetime opportunities such as going to Pompeii, which we only spent 30 minutes inside. If this is a teenagers only introduction to world travel, I fear it would not be a good one. Oh, and don’t even get me started on why they thought a seven hour layover in Heathrow airport would be appropriate for 30 teenagers and six chaperones.

"Great Experience, But Schedule too Compact and Exhausting for Kids"
The itinerary was well-planned, and the activities were engaging. Kids had a fantastic time exploring and participating in the various activities.
However, I did want to share a couple of concerns. The schedule, though packed with great activities, felt a bit too compact. The flight to Washington, D.C. took the entire day, which was very tiring. Additionally, because of the tight schedule, the kids didn’t get enough rest, and unfortunately, most of them became sick during the trip.

"Schedule "
If the students could’ve had less tight schedules, it’ll be great!!

"Location guides great. Group tours not so much"
The group bus tour of 49 people on a 50 person bus was uncomfortable. Hotel locations were either ok but out of the way or in unsafe neighborhoods with cameras in the rooms. The in-city and location specific guides were phenomenal and worth the experience. However the tour guide that accompanied our group did not share what we were getting off the bus for, how long we would be walking, descriptions of the trip or other details. These would have been helpful.

"Awesome all around."
Our guide and driver were very friendly. Our guide was fantastically knowledgeable about all the history and even knew more unique details. She was energetic and fun, keeping the kids engaged with mini quizzes throughout. The places to eat all had options for picky eaters, a plus for kids. The hotel was nice too. All around quite a great and informative trip.

"Every detail has already been thought…"
Every detail has already been thought of by the staff. The whole weekend is completely organized and thoughtful. The kids are constantly engaged, learning and having fun.
