"Great Support"

After I reported to the maintenance department that the hot water to my apartment had gone out, Emma was very quick to get a contractor notified and out to repair the issue. She kept me updated on every step of the way and was incredibly polite and helpful in resolving the issue. Having your hot water go out is never a great experience, but Emma and the contractors were able to resolve the issue quickly with no problems.

We had some maintenance issues when moving into the place and reported them online. Emma, their maintenance executive, promptly replied and arranged for them to come be sorted. She was friendly, accommodating and swift in her service. Overall, we’re very pleased with how everything was handled.

"Seven Capital after sales care is non-existent BEWARE!"

Early this year and after some time Seven Capital arranged for the leaks to the glass frontage of the building to be resealed, this affected many owners apartments in the building as well I mine and where leaks were clearly evident. At the same time they also transferred the newly converted building warranty to an insurance company - Checkmate and this has created a CATCH 22 situation. To explain -
part of the solution to rectify the window leaks was to also repair the interior window frames paint work damage that the water ingress had caused. After trying to get Seven Capital to undertake the work they had previously agreed too and after getting no response to emails I tried the insurance company that Seven Captial had moved their liability to only to be told -
"Thank you for your email.
We note your comments however your claim has been made within party 2 of the policy which is within the developers liability period therefore they would be liable for the repairs not Checkmate. Just to clarify your claim is against the developer not Checkmate.
Within part 2 of the policy we act as a resolution service between the developer and the claimant however we can only assist and force the developer to rectify defects that are covered under the policy.
If the repairs to the windows have been completed and the only outstanding issue is the resulting water damage then this is not an issue we would be able to assist with under the policy because as advised previously the policy specifically excludes claims for consequential loss.
We will however contact the developer and request that they contact you as soon as possible and arrange a date to rectify the resulting water damage.

"Avoid!"

This is a warning to prospective buyers .. do not get sucked in by Seven Capital’s flashy marketing material which is what I did and I am now paying the price! Firstly, the development was a year late in being completed which would have been acceptable if Seven Capital would have delivered a luxury development as promised in their marketing material. But instead we got the cheapest appliances possible and kitchen units that had to be replaced after a year because the laminate was peeling off. And now, three years on, there are serious issues with leaking windows, flooding of the carpark, broken down lifts, hot water cylinders that have to be replaced and all Seven Capital want to do is wash their hands off it and move on to the next development so they can fleece more unsuspecting customers.

Having previously reviewed during the development, things only got worse after. There is a huge long list of issues which Seven Captial are trying to avoid (huge leaks to windows, lift servicing, cladding issues) all of which have now brought down both the perceived local value, but even worse the monetary value - The flats are almost un-sellable due to the issues and people not being able to get mortgages, but any that do have gone down in value up to £100K in only 2 years. Simply avoid...
