"Really enjoyable trip"
Really enjoyable trip. The itinerary was variable and interesting. Food was good but would have preferred some choice. Wine was plentiful. Your manager was excellent.

"The group was the best ever"
The group was the best ever. Rob was the best guide. They only down was the hotel in Lecce, but Rob made the stay good. The hotel in Ostuni was first class. All in all it was a great tour made special by Rob’s outstanding care and fun. I have done several tours and once again I was not disappointed.

"The trip to Norfolk was excellent"
The trip to Norfolk was excellent. Although it rained for the first 2 days, the trip was so well organised the the weather did not interfere.
The food was good and plentiful. the free drinks every evening was verywelcome.
Our tour guide and Manager was excellent. I enjoyed the walk around Norwich City. it is small and very well organised. Every thing is within reach. Personally it gave me the opportunity to visit the grave of Nurse Edith Cavell. Being a Nurse myself, she is one of my favourite role models. The peple of Belgium has
made a circular memorial in honour of her Nurse Tutor fotr the first School of Nursing in Belgium.
Despite not being able walk around it on my own. The Guide was knowledgable about the city and took us to a fair number of sites.
I loved the facilities in my room. The large double bed was very comfortable.

"Great way to see a country "
I visited Morocco with One Traveller in October 2024.
Overall, this was an excellent trip and a very good way to see a great many things in a very interesting and varied country over less than two weeks. The itinerary was generally very well thought out, though there were a couple of places where I would have liked more time, perhaps at the expense of what I thought were slightly too many markets and craft retail experiences. As an example, we had a short visit to a very interesting Roman town, followed by a visit to a town where the main attraction was a magnificent mausoleum; unfortunately, being non-Muslims, we were unable to visit it and walked around a food market instead.
Hotels were generally of good quality (4* and 5*). The Barceló hotels in Casablanca, Tangier and Fes had very comfortable, well equipped rooms. The Xaluca hotel in Arfoud was really beautiful with amazing rooms done out in traditional style. The least impressive was the Grand Mogador in Marrakesh. This was supposed to be 5*, but the rooms were tired and old-fashioned and the hotel did not have an alcohol licence. This was a change from the advertised hotel, and it wasn’t great. Bedroom key cards seem to be a bit of a problem in Morocco; in every hotel a number of our group found that they failed and had to be reprogrammed. Nothing our tour manager could do about that, of course but it was annoying. The hotel in Fes was supposed to have a swimming pool where we could spend some down time one afternoon, but it was being refurbished and non-operational.
Food on the whole was good, and we had some outstanding meals in restaurants and riads in Casablanca, Tangier, Fes and Marrakech. Buffets in hotels were generally very good, but the plated dinner in the otherwise excellent Hotel in Tangier was very poor. Lunches on travelling days could become a bit repetitive.
Highlights of the trip for me were: lunch at Rick’s Café in Casablanca; the Medina and Gardens in Rabat; the Roman city of Volubilis; driving through the Atlas mountains and seeing a sunset in the desert; the Jardins Majorelle in Marrakech.
I can’t speak too highly of our tour team. The tour manager and Moroccan guide worked together to provide a smooth and seamless experience, as well as solving little problems. Our full-time driver and his assistant were courteous and professional. I was impressed from the start with this company’s excellent levels of information, communication, and customer care, which continued throughout the holiday.
Would I recommend this trip? Absolutely. There were a few little issues as outlined above, but it was brilliantly led and managed, and we saw an awful lot. Just be aware that so many early starts and long journeys in the coach can be pretty tiring. I would have liked a little more time to relax by a pool, and in fact a number of us missed the cooking lesson on the last day to spend time chilling out.
