"Victoria Fall assault course!"
Last year I threw caution to the wind and booked two long haul holidays with a new company - One Traveller - China October 2023 and South Africa April 2024 with the Victoria falls extension due to being impressed by the staff & reviews. I opted for flight upgrades for both trips which are expensive and a very poor deal with no seat choice and no preferences taken into account when booked which resulted in the worst seat on the plane.
Both tours were within acceptable parameters.
The Victoria falls extension - flight delayed over 24 hours which resulted in being accommodated in exceptionally poor, dirty, noisy and unsafe motel not the five star experience we had signed up for. The food provision totally inedible. Although the delay was out of the control of One Traveller - I feel they still have a responsibility around what was provided by their suppliers that evening and the overall guest experience. I always judge a company by its response in these situations - today after an eleven week wait despite spending nearly £2000 on this extension I have received an apology letter and £150 off another holiday which is quite poor in view of what I have spent with the company and being unable to claim off insurance due to delays processing a request for information. Disappointed ex-customer,
Helen
"Fantastic holiday!"
Fantastic holiday!! My first with OneTraveller but I couldn’t fault them. Our tour manager was amazing and the organisation was spot on. Every person on the trip without exception was marvellous. We became a very supportive group - no one was ever excluded. Some fascinating people to get to know. I’m very happy to have found OneTraveller!

"Beware booking in June for Swiss alpine railway holiday"
I have just returned from the Swiss alpine railway holiday. The itinerary stated that there were 3 rail journeys including 2 cog trains. However 3 weeks before the holiday they said the cog trains weren’t running and provided substitutes. Unfortunately the substitutes were awful and if I’d known when I booked I would have chosen a later date. It turns out the cog trains don’t start until mid June. I can’t believe a company like one traveller didn’t know this when I booked in march. Such a shame as I had heard such good things about the company and as a first experience it was very disappointing.

"Fast paced taster holiday"
Our host was friendly and efficient and sorted any queries and health needs. She had great social skills and spoke Italian.
It would have been better to have the full itenary a few weeks before we left not once there. The breakfast were very early and evening meal very late. Stricts medication regime changes had to be made to keep them 12 hrs apart and with, before and after food.
etc. With the hour difference and variations in meal times my regime was out of cinque. If Id had the itenary early I could of gradually changed my medication times.
The free time in Venice and Verone was limited. It was a very long day and after all the travel we couldn't explore freely. No time for lunch and see the sights.
The Venice guide was dreary for most of us. Verona guide far more interesting. Visit to glass factory wasn't worth the trip. Plenty of glass everywhere in all Garda shops.
The food was good. The last nights meal and restaurant in Verona was wonderful. Very comfy hotel room and bed. Pity not easy walking distance to town. Why pay extra for the luxury of a spa hotel and no time to use it. Should be sold as fast paced taster holiday as we were all so very tired but enjoyed it.

"York break at Middletons hotel"
York break at Middletons hotel. Good re hotel too many courses but looked after well Great situation near centre.Allguides interesting but Rob our main guide who did not seem to want to socialise and spent a.lot of time on his telephone . He was efficient but lacked any real interest in the group as a whole . Bus driver was excellent in suggesting places to go in Whitby to keep out of the rain.
