"I Was Leary, But Now I am Sold!"
I originally started searching cruise websites and their reviews after my NCL cruise consultant (finally) told me that, to get the best rates, I should contact a travel agent or cruise website. After reviewing the websites, I decided to take a chance and contact Cruise.com. Richard, the cruise consultant, called me back at my requested time. He was pleasant, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. I felt as though I was talking with a friend. He anticipated my needs and had the answers to all of my questions. He was incredibly patient and freely offered his knowledge to help me and my family save money.
I had never booked a cruise from a website before and I was skeptical. Now, I am telling everyone what amazing service I received from Cruise.com and from Richard. Thank you!

Arrival very organized, efficient. In our rooms by 1300, bags at rooms by about 1530. All the employees were great, especially customer service desk to book excursions and just to answer general questions. What was of note was the food. Quality way down, as seen in the thin steaks that were served. Food used to be hot upon arrival whereas now it is warm at best. NOT THE SERVERS FAULT! Possibly the servers have more tables to serve or the serving process has changed. Lukewarm soups (except the last night the French onion soup was great), no more table side choices of salad dressings, no offer of fresh cracked pepper. When at the all-inclusives the 'other' restuarants were included in price. Was surprised to have to pay extra for essentially the same food, just a different location. The soda package for $160??? What a joke. No longer are the days when you can get a (free) Coke with your meal. The tea was very mediocre. The dining room entertainment is way over being old, as is the same as on my first cruise about 15 years ago. While we got the cruise (last minute) for a great price, the add-ons are now make cruising a more expensive vacation than in the past. The entertainment was quality for the most part, especially in the Coral Theater. First time on a larger ship but was surprised to still find only 2 hot tubs for 2000 people. People were quite rude by staying in the tubs all day, as well as allowing their children to monopolize the tubs. Children should not EVER be in hot tubs secondary to the health risk, but no one was policing this. Also, the swim pools were not adult friendly. Both pools were filled with children not even allowing for the possibility of swimming laps.
Speaking of children, I am a grandma and love children. Don't understand why parents have to allow their children to run in the hallways at night. Very difficult to sleep with the pounding they created. Was not a very restful vacation.
I have now reached Platinum level for frequent cruising. Very few perks for using same company. Looks good on paper but really only applies if one is spending money on bingo, etc, then it was only for 1 extra card when minimum purchase was $16 for 6 cards/one game. Small discounts on onboard shopping.
Beware booking with Cruises.com. Chose the cruise listed for the one available week from booking site. Promised "free pre-paid gratuities" as well as $100 stateroom credit. When I noted that I was getting daily tip charges, the customer service person allowed me to make a call to web site. Was told that my cruise was too cheap to qualify for extra savings, yet it was the only date available when I went into the window to book cruise. Definitely bate and switch. Will never use that company again. Not the first time I have been 'taken' on this type booking, but will do some extra safe-guarding the next time.

Heather is definitely one of the best cruise assistants I have ever run across in 56 cruises. At our older age we bounce around for the best deals no more loyalty just best prices......we belong to all the groups, RCI, II, travels clubs (what a waste) and have done cruises with ex sister in law and icruise.com etc my daughter's agency but I really love working with a professional that knows how to listen, search, recommend, and close the deal with amiable split second decisions.....what an experience! I will be using cruise.com and Heather for all my future cruises...Thanks Heather

"A few things were not up to "par""
Work force was absolutely top notch. A few things need improvement i.e.: Buffet breakfast was not hot/warm.
Theater entertainment was barely adequate.
Bar T.V. had childrens game on screen when adults wanted to watch THE MASTERS GOLF TOURNAMENT (we were told they had to keep kiddies program on until 6 p.m. - in A BAR??).
Dining room dinners were very good.

"Easy booking, but better yet: great follow-through"
Booking a cruise can be complicated. Cruise.com has booked many cruises for us over the years, and their follow-through service is one of the main reasons we keep coming back to them. For our most recent booking (March 2015 for a fall cruise), our travel agent Clifford Newman tackled more challenges than usual, as we were using cruise line future cruise certificates for partial payment. Clifford's persistence contacting the cruise line and ensuring credit made a significant difference in our total cost. Also, we appreciated that Clifford responded very quickly to our emailed requests for status regarding desired optional arrangements. He ultimately succeeded in resolving all issues in less than a month after initial booking--and well before final payment was due.

I have booked several cruises through cruise.com. Each one was exactly as advertised.....no surprises at the time of the cruise or after. I have dealt with several cruise.com travel agents and received excellent information and service. If I had questions, they were happy to help me. On a recent cruise I had a "guarantee" cabin. When the cabin was assigned, cruise.com assisted me in changing my cabin assignment. They got me changed from starboard to port. It was important to me. Thanks for great service, helpful agents, great prices, and convenient hours. I'll be back soon to book another cruise.
