No customer service. Difficult to use. Far better software available for the price.

No customer support on phone. You get locked in on the most expensive package even if you do not have regular high flow of clients or needs. Users in peak period are considered active all year round, despite the fact that nothing will be done on those users. It's unfair to force customers to pay a high account all year round for a package they do not need.

Awful product. Avoid. Try shopping around before you go here. It has been an awful experience from the start. I have never come across a more awful product/service in 30 years of service. There is NO support, and it is not a user friendly package.

Terrible product.
You can produce a tax return (i.e. for partnerships) but can't file it because HMRC rejects credentials sent from TaxFiler.
Credentials work on the HMRC site and allow me to log in and see the details of my partnership account but the same credentials (Password was cut and pasted so no possibility of mistake) - leads to a message saying HMRC rejected log-in and password - but it still works on HMRC site directly.
Why can't HMRC simply create a website for partnerships to file - just as they have done for individuals and cut out the money grabbing useless software companies. ...and even their phone number as shown on HMRC site says "number unrecognised".
Beware too: "Please do not call for product support. Support is via email only."
Both HMRC and Taxfiler are a disgrace- this should not be an HMRC approved software.

"Chasing refund"
I have been using Tax Filer for about one year, The old version is a great product very simple to use, however, when Tax Filer has merged been to Iris the software is not the same as it was, much slower with a few bugs.
A few months ago I spoke to a lady called Davinder Bajwa about some issues on the software. She acknowledged the system issues and agreed to refund me one month subscription, since then I have not received any money.
I have even received a credit note, but not the money.
I have emailed the company several times chasing my payment. The last email I received on 30/11/2022 said " Good afternoon Wellington,
We have forwarded your request to the relevant department. "
In summary: it is not a great product as it was, but still have good value for money, but the customer service is shocking, doesn't have a phone number to speak to , and the responses via email are quite vague writing from people that do not understand the software.

It's a shame this is being discontinued. It worked amazingly well and the new Iris Elements isn't as good despite using the same code....

I really like the product Taxfiler, I find it easy to use, simple and does the job, not a lot more I need to say, keep up the good work.

Excellent software that generates financial accounts and tax returns. In particular, their support staff provide prompt and helpful advice every time that I have cause to raise a query.
