"Taxfiler & support staff are great"

Being new to tax filing in the UK was a challenge. HMRC's tax filing system leaves a LOT to be desired and after quite a lot of research I decided to try Taxfiler. I am very happy with the result. They save me heaps of time and the system allows me to easily make corrections when necessary. I have had quite a few questions along this journey and their technical support has been excellent - always patient with my silly questions, with quick response times and relevant answers

Our business has used Taxfiler for may years to amend client's corporation tax returns to include our capital allowance and research and development claims. The software is fast, user friendly, cost effective, and perfect for our business needs. Although we have only needed to contact Taxfiler on a few occasion, their customer service is second to none, and any queries we have had have been quickly, politely, and efficiently resolved.

"Taxfiler for practioners with restricted resources"

If you need software to enable the preparation and filing of financial statements and tax returns on a budget then Taxfiler is the one for you. As I reduce the size of my business the more complex packages available became unecconomic but Taxfiler does it all. My only complaint would be the delay in issuing tax return checklist facility after the start of the new tax year, I have some clients who like to get it all done in April and so the May release was a little late. What is good is the access from anywhere as it is cloud based.

My biggest fear is that the new owners, Iris, will make it complicated and expensive! - please don't mess with it's USP Iris!

Slow to respond to queries.
They don't appear to be technically up to date - we've reported issues to do with incorrect disclosure in accounts and they are unaware and fail to amend.
They don't cater easily for trusts - can't won't produce detailed reports to go to clients meaning we have to type them up.
Don't cater for more complicated CT cases.
