"Full view of the river"

Excellent product and very good support. Muzata is an excellent choice for a DIY project. They helped me with installation questions via email to help me fulfill my dream for deck railing that replaced my spindles for a beautiful view of the river in front of my cabin!

To resolve this issue I received 2 email with a link to a you tube video. When that did not resolve the issue, Brandon called me to talk about the issue then ultimately resolved the issue by sending a replacement for the failed device.

"Great system but poor crimper…"

I would have given it 5 stars because the staff I dealt with were so helpful and pleasant to deal with. However the Hydraulic Crimper definitely needs modification. The first one I got failed the 2 nd day. I was shipped a new one and it arrived in 2 days… amazing. However to get it working properly I had to grind down the jaws so that it would adequately crimp the wire. Also the amount of force required to crimp the wire is not something a weak person could do.
Having said that I am happy with the end result .

Defiantly got what I paid for. This is a budget option and the quality of finish and service reflect that. The coating on the posts scuffs very easily. Be aware for the cables to meet code you may have to drill another run of cable lower down on the post as the first cable is set about 4" off the deck surface which after deflection does not pass the 4" sphere test. The end posts also bow quite a bit once the cables are tensioned so make sure if you are doing a double corner post you account for that in your placement so they meet code once tensioned. The design service gives you a general idea of how the components are meant to be laid out but you are left to figure out the specifics which is a bit tricky when it comes to more complex parts such as stairs. Also the layout the provided had spans greater than what is recommended in there installation guide which for the most part was ok but on one section was almost double the recommended span which led to excess deflection which had to be remedied by adding an additional post. I also ordered a gate (spec'd by a Muzata rep) to match the uncoated cable system and they sent a gate with coated cables and then initially refused to replace them with the correct cables, then after more convincing/complaining they finally agreed to send the parts necessary to make new cables, not the prefabricated cables I had originally paid for. Overall it came out fine eventually but was defiantly not a user friendly experience even for a contractor who has done cable rails before.
