"Generally disappointed. I had better expectations"
I had a flat in a house of totally of 5 apartaments and I indicated exactly what I want to be checked and the exact location also I indicated the exact problems to be investigated and a quotation price to be indicated and I was disappointed when the report arrived. Everything at general for the entire house and a messy quotation about the problems indicated. I couldn't negotiate with the seller nothing because of the bad report. I have also been promised a survey date next week when I had the payment they made it 2 weeks after. I will recommend to check other surveyors on the market.
RE: they tried to improve their score by contacting me and blaming access problem and a proposal to discuss with their surveyor, they did worse as I understand from their surveyor he is not qualified for the job he's doing.
September Update: I have tried to contact you as you described in the reply below and your employee told me that there will be no further discussion with me or any negotiations.

I had a level 3 survey done by C&C Surveying and I felt compelled to write a review because of how satisfied I am with my report! It is extremely comprehensive and I had no issues with understanding exactly what the surveyor was saying.
I've had a survey done in the past which one needed a PHD to understand and was more of a lecture on buidling reg instead of information about the property. Not C&C Surveying , from the start to the finish of the report it was all about the property. Photos were also clear so I need exactly what the issue was. The turnaround for the report was within the 5 working days advised.
I highly recommend this company. My money was definitely not wasted.

"Not a useful survey or experience"
I've come back to amend my review which I made before moving into my house and discovering a long list of issues.
This survey was next to useless. All of these types of surveys are, and the surveyors, through their own admission, are unqualified to comment on any particular area within a house and suggest getting specific trade surveys carried out.
A friend recommended C&C Surveying - their survey of the same kind of house was over 100 pages longer than mine. I believe the surveyor I was provided through C and C, did not carry out a careful and thorough inspection of the house and/or missed opportunities to warn of issues that needed investigation. It may be that this is a failure of the survey structure rather than the surveyor, but I think it was probably both.
There was a leak throughout the kitchen that was undetected - had the stopcock been found and examined, this would have become clear - the stop cock was not even referenced in the report. Taking moisture readings in the kitchen would also have helped identify this but they were not taken.
C and C quickly responded to my request for comment - stating the leak happened after the survey - I pointed out that the level of wood rot in the ply subfloor and the door liner to the bathroom could not occur to such a level in only 2 months. Still, no accountability was taken, and I was referred back to the terms and conditions, which, like all surveys, lay out that a survey is essentially useless because it only covers what can be seen by the eye.
Despite asking why the stopcock was not examined (which also would have identified that the mains water supply was lead), this was ignored in all responses.
I think I was unlucky with my surveyor - most old houses are filled with all manner of issues that you will only find once you start looking - the lucky ones are the homeowners who manage to sell without ever looking. That being said, a survey should give a good shot at early warning. I was not given that opportunity on this occasion.
I wouldn't recommend C&C, despite knowing others have had a fine time with them. A RICS Level 3 survey is only useful if you like wasting money - get the actual trades in to look at your property.
I didn't enjoy the back-and-forth with C & C when making my complaint, and although I knew I was correct in bringing a complaint, it was clear they were well covered in this exact situation, to deny any responsibility.

Very happy with the service provided by C&C Surveying. I received my homebuyers report within a week of it being conducted. The report is clear and easy to understand. Should I need to, I would definitely uses C&C Surveying in the future.

"Useless for lease extension purposes"
Do not use this company for lease extension purposes. They claim to be "experienced" in conducting valuations for lease extension purposes, but they didn't even know basic things about the process. For example, they didn’t bother sending me a valuation report; instead they added a couple of “valuation” fields in my standard Home Buyers report. Additionally, they refused to stand behind their valuation in any interactions with third parties and refuse to represent their clients in the negotiation with the landlord, which is actually where the surveyors’ expertise is mostly needed. After informing them that I can’t use their report without their help in explaining it to the landlord, they only kept referring me to the Terms & Conditions of what I signed and saying that they had no obligation to help me with that. Despite not being able to use their report for my intended purposes, they also refused providing a refund. Highly disappointing.
