So, firstly the negative:- the tracker didn't actually work for me! The signal just didn't kick in reliably enough where i live so I had to send it back.
The positive is that the company was so helpful and understanding and the process of returning the tracker and getting a refund was super easy and quick

I have just purchased 3 units. I have three dogs, all three units have run the batteries down with in 48 hours and they take several hours to charge. The units are hardly usable. I think I must be in a bad area, it is a shame you didn't check that. I have wasted all that money.
Probably have to give them to a charity shop

My query was answered efficiently and quickly.
When practising with it. It does what it says it does it finds your dog, there is a slide delay while the device locate your dog. This can be adjusted to suit your needs.
