The quality of the knives I purchased is absolutely incredible. The handles are designed extremely well and fit the hand very comfortably. The blades are durable and very sharp. Customer service is also very good. They are very expensive, but the quality is such they should last forever.

I have ordered four products from Seido Knives, and all have more than met my expectations. I've asked questions and they've been answered promptly and thoroughly.

"Fake"

The forging patterns were printed on. No joke. These aren't even real. When I asked to return them, I got the 20% restocking fee and having to pay shipping. I never should have trusted the 100% satisfaction guarantee. That's what I get for trying a new company for good knives.

2 Silver Seido Seido Kitchen Shears ordered as GIFTS on line from Canadian Site Brampton Ont.. Shipped in paper padded bag. Bag damaged in several places by corners of boxes. Boxes damaged. Two emails to request return. Phone number in US only receives messages. Chat Line '2 minutes wait for agent' now 30 minutes. There is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. NO RETURN WITHOUT THEIR PERMISSION. This is surely a SCAM

Bought a shears which said Japanese steel but the box says made in China be very careful ordering from them. There's a 20% restocking fee plus you have to pay for shipping. They're a scam.

Seamless process from ordering to tracking to receiving product. Product arrived in perfect condition and on time. Item performed so well I immediately ordered another product. Hope to get years of use from my new chef’s knife.

"I will never buy these knives again"

I will never buy these knives again. I am not speaking about the quality but the customer service. My husband bought me two knives for $200. I actually had three sets of knives so I returned them and they charged me a 20% restocking fee plus $20 to return the knives back. The knives cost me $60 to return. Extremely poor customer service and it certainly did not cost them $40 to put them back on the shelf. They are a scam!

"Christmas present"

My daughter bought me a SEIDO knife for Christmas. She got me the green one. I went to their web site but cannot find a place to do the review so I will do it here. The knife seems well made and it does have a decent edge but after using it for cutting vegetables and meats it is already losing it's edge... Steel not properly hardened? I havn't used it but about 15-20 times. Not really a big deal, I can resharpen it. I will give the knife 3 stars. Mine was not razor sharp as they say on their web site nor did it hold it'd edge. But it is a nice looking knife.

"Sad Customer Service"

We purchased a set of knives as a Christmas gift but didn't end up gifting them. I emailed for return instructions and after 4 emails of reminding me there is a 20% restocking fee and I had to pay for the shipping and trying to give me a discount to keep the knives, I finally got a prepaid shipping label with FedEx. The boxes where unopened and in original shipping packaging. Seido kept $113 of my order. This is why ordering from a company direct doesn't work and why Amazon is taking over. Jokes on me!
