One of my bare root roses came damaged and DA responded quickly to my email and sent a replacement. I’m satisfied with the customer service and will buy from them again.

PS: I ordered own-root roses and they are quite established (root is about 1.5 thumb-sized). Very happy.

David Austin roses are my favorite. Customer service has been quick to reply and that is appreciated. I’m currently discouraged that I have specifically requested own root roses for my David Austin orders because of my 6a zone. I’m discouraged to hear that David Austin is not going to be consistently offering that. I’m discouraged that some of my roses were not able to be shipped as own root. I’m confused why I would need to go to heirloom roses to get David Austin own root roses and then yesterday‘s email promotion from David Austin was all about own root roses, some of which I’ve ordered that are not coming in own root. If I lived further south, this wouldn’t be an issue, but any of the Master gardeners or Kansas City Rose Society members feel strongly that they only grow own root roses, yet I am novice at best, and I believe being placed in the situation to set myself up to fail. Yet I have a email from David Austin roses stating that they are having success with grafted roses. However, do they mean that successes in my zone? This leaves me confused. I really wish if I could request own root roses that could be honored because of my zone. It will be devastating to nurture a rose bush and then eventually to lose it simply because it couldn’t have been sold to me as own root. Sorry for length. Thank you for listening.

"Beautifully Healthy Plants!"

I ordered 11 bare root rose bushes. I have never received such healthy bare root plants from another online vendor! Some of the canes were 1" thick. I had to order larger, temporary, fabric pots (for later inground planting) because the roots were so long and plentiful. I purchased David Austin roses a number or years ago and chose to order from them again because the rose bushes grow large and are healthy. I was so impressed by the quality back then that I never forgot the name of the company. You won't be sorry you ordered from David Austin!

Always happy with the plants. But the real satisfaction comes when they are in full bloom. Recently moved so can’t enjoy my old roses, just ordered 2 to get started on a new yard! They arrived and I have never seen such a big plant, it didn’t even fit in the pot I had ready. So excited to add beauty to a new yard! You can never go wrong with a David Austin rose!
