"These boots gave me leg pain."
After two months of wearing these boots I was experiencing sharp pain at the top of my leg on the inside and so I've stopped wearing them. Someone suggested the issue is the lack of 'give' in the design. They are very rigid and they lack any flexibility. Very disappointed to have wasted $150.00.

"Practically useless."
I really wanted to enjoy my ankle wellies; they looked great from all of the photos plastered across Merry People's website, but, are they functional? It's a definite NO! Not if you're hoping your feet stay dry, wearing wellies- which, I assume, you are. Around the ankles are a fabric material, which makes the wellies look like a Chelsea boot, but when rained on, they absorb all of the water, which seeps through the entire wellie, given that the very same material carries on along the length of the inner wellie...! This is a huge DESIGN FLAW. To illustrate the point, I went on a stroll the other day and it began to rain. I thought "No worries, I'm in my wellies!", yet, as described, within about an hour of walking in the rain, my feet were getting very wet. So disappointing! I can't see the point of these wellies, based on that.
I must add: they are not at all breathable, given this thick, redundant interior lining, so that might also have been contributing to their wetness.
I also bought some of their socks, advertised as merino wool- they're not made of "merino wool". They're made of a blend of synthetics and merino wool, which isn't what I was hoping for- I wouldn't have bought them, had I known they weren't made of 100% merino wool. I'm not convinced that they state this on the product's description/advert, so this is a real shame- misguiding.
Final point (if you're not already put off by the redundant nature of their wellies): there's a pull-on loop to the front and the back of the wellies (bit excessive?!), which rub like hell when walking! Especially the front loop- I can't see the purpose of one being on the front of the wellie, but I assume there is one... Unusual. I thought the purpose of their socks might be to take some of this discomfort away, but no, not at all! Far too thin- very thin. You're forced to have to wear pretty thick socks just to tolerate the friction of the wellies' pull-on/take-off loops, whilst walking, and certainly you would need a thick pair of jeans to go in between your skin and these loops (if not a thick pair of socks). This makes me wonder what the actual point to their socks is...
Sadly, Merry People: great branding, but your products are useless in terms of functionality.
I would also add (unbelievably- another point against the wellies!): the tread on the boots is not enough for a "country walk" that goes over slippery stones/rocks, mud etc; they're lethal on that type of ground. Little to no traction!
I really can't see the point in these wellies... Deary me. Sorry, guys! Highly disappointing. Needless to say, I definitely can't recommend these (nor the socks), on any level.

"Painful "
I ordered the Tully boots, size 4, my normal size as that’s what they recommended. All the reviews said how comfy they were etc, after wearing them for an hour my toes on the left foot were numb and squashed and they rubbed the back of my right ankle and made it bleed, so uncomfortable I had to borrow a pair of one of my clients boots(I’m a dog walker) I’ve left an email with them including a picture, commented on all their social media sites and no response! I’ve spent £98 on a pair of boots I can’t wear and apparently can’t return as I’ve worn them out, despite them having a 1 year warranty. Really really disappointed as that’s a big purchase for me.

"Excellent returns policy, no quibble, free, quick and easy."
I'm pretty gobsmacked how quick and easy returns are, and free. The boots are lovely but I bought a couple of pairs for comparison and ended up sending one pair back. In the past I've been disappointed by how hard companies can make this, making you pay for returns, recorded delivery etc, and long waits. This process literally takes 2-3 days from returning to refund, with a simple print off free posted label.

"Style over substance"
The marketing for this company is very pushy - I've opted out so many times but still their ads ping up everywhere all the time! I finally gave in and bought a couple of pairs in 6 and 7 (I'm a UK6.5). They arrived promptly and well packaged, but the sizings are very strange - a 6 was far too small and my toes were crunched up at the front, but a 7 my feet were swimming and the boots were far too loose on the heel and slipped up and down. Uncomfortable even walking around the living room, so no way they'd be comfy on a long walk. They arrived by Royal Mail, but returns are only via UPS, which is really inconvenient as there are no drop-off locations anywhere near me. They're also very heavy, clompy boots and very expensive. I've since bought a lovely, cheap, lightweight pair from Amazon for £15 in a 6.5 and they're perfect. I fear a case of style over substance with Merry People, and more for Insta than practicality!

"Waste of money "
As these boots are advertised true to size I ordered my normal size , I found them very tight and hard to get on and off , my feet were throbbing when I took them off , I’ve done everything advised by customer services but to no avail , they are still uncomfortable , complete waste of money .
After reaching back out to customer services I was told to gift the boots to someone or sell them , then I received the reply from merry people to my review on Trustpilot, as you can see they advise me to contact them again to find a solution, I did but now they are ignoring me making me think the ‘helpful’ reply is purely for effect to make it look like they care , what a company to deal with , strongly advise anyone buying these boots to wear them indoors for quite awhile until you are sure they are a good fit , I will avoid this company at all costs , thanks for reading

"The comfiest thing my feet have ever worn."
I bought these wellies with my birthday money. They are pricier than your cheap fashion brands. But these are the comfiest boots, maybe even encompassing all boots. MAYBE even all footwear, that I have ever owned. It's like walking on springy cushions. But better. And waterproof. And they look cool. If you're in any doubt to buy them- you will not be disappointed
