Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to formally file a complaint against LOOKBYFARE agency regarding unethical practices conducted through their website Lookbyfare.com
On June 15, 2024, I provided my personal information, including credit card details, as part of a booking process based on the advertised prices on your website. Subsequently, I received a phone call from your representative, who was unaware that I had already received a confirmation for the tickets. During this call, the representative attempted to charge me higher prices and offer flights from different airports than those originally advertised. When I mentioned that I had already secured the tickets, the representative proceeded to cancel my flight without my consent. I never received any communication or notification from your agency regarding this cancellation or any changes in fare or availability.
Furthermore, after hanging up with the first customer representative (Kevin), I called Lookbyfare customer service again, and a second representative informed me that Lookbyfare paid $7,500 for the same tickets and could not acknowledge my confirmation and the prices I had secured. This was particularly concerning as I had entered my information based on the advertised prices. I also spoke to a Lookbyfare supervisor (Jay) who reiterated similar information.
It appears that Lookbyfare is collecting personal information by advertising incorrect prices on your website and then using this information to offer alternative routes and dates at higher prices. These practices are deceptive, unethical, and violate consumer protection laws.
While I acknowledge that my return and booking cancellation have already been processed, the practices employed by your agency are unacceptable. I demand assurances that these practices will cease immediately and that measures will be implemented to prevent similar issues in the future.
This entire episode has been extremely frustrating and distressing for me and my family. We wasted the entire day trying to resolve this matter, which has been both disappointing and infuriating.
I expect a prompt response and resolution to this matter. Failure to address this issue satisfactorily will result in further actions, including filing complaints with the Federal Trade Commission, the Better Business Bureau, ASTA, Trustpilot, and the New Jersey State Attorney General. I will include the parent (A RED DIAMOND AFFAIR LLC) company as well in future correspondence. If nothing is resolved I will include all evidence and launch a complaint with all other agencies.

My flight was changed to a different date, I found out at the airport as I was checking in, I did not receive an email nor a message from them leaving me stranded in the airport. Look by fare did not apologize and to make matters worse, I requested another flight for the same day they said I would have to pay since its not with the same flight company

I made a booking mistake and called the 800 # and spoke with Agent Kinny who was fantastic in helping me correct my mistake. He was courteous, knowledgeable, and patient- all characteristics of a valued employee.
