"Cant sell my apartment because if mainstays extortionate service charge"

I own an apartment managed by this cowboy company and i literally cant sell my property because of it. All my viewers love the apartment itself but literally cringe when they find out how expensive the service charge is. The charge on my apartment is £1200 a year. Literally 100 pound a month. More expensive than the council tax. Its absolutely shocking and when potential buyers find out how much the charge is they are immediately put off. Ive been asking around and ive come across service providers who havent rose there rates in 5 years. Mainstay up it every year. Ive seen apartments on the ROCK in bury town centre. These are UP MARKET very posh apartments and they are only £950 a year. I have no idea how mainstay can justify there prices. They need to chop them back down again whatever the cost. They simply cannot keep fluctuating every year. I cant believe these people are stopping me selling my apartment with there ridiculous pricing. Property managers need to rethink there prices and put themselves in the leaseholders shoes. They obvuously dont care how much they rise the charge because selfishly they dont have to pay it. someone needs to rethink there position at mainstay because Its...to....much

"Orient Place"

The property manager for the orient site is very good and works very hard to keep the site managed to a good standard, engaging with residents and frequently attending site - every 2-3 weeks. Some of the property/customer service advisors are a bit more hit and miss when going through the main call centre however I know that once I’ve been able to get hold of Diana the Orient property manager, the issues will be resolved. Diana also does well to engage residents concerning the budget for the site. It would be good however if the mainstay portal allowed residents to see progress of tickets/issues as sometimes issues can take a while to be resolved but they are always resolved eventually.

"A new tenant was about to sign a lease"

A new tenant was about to sign a lease, and a damp patch appeared in top floor bedroom ceiling. A call to Ann at Mainstay initiated action involving getting a cherry picker to site. The maintenance team came out and resolved the problem in a short space of time.
Well done Mainstay. Friendly and professional.

Lawrence Griffin - Mainstay Gardener Isis Lake, South Cerney, Cirencester

Having owned a property on Isis Lake for some twenty years I felt it appropriate to sing the praises of Lawrence Griffin who is one of your employees there.

Lawrence is a consummate professional gardener who is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and polite. He is one of the unsung heroes of Isis Lake who works tirelessly and continuously to keep our outdoor environment, aesthetically pleasing and very tidy throughout the seasons. Over the years Lawrence has proved that nothing is too much trouble for him when it comes to ensuring our landscape is always looking top notch, regardless of what Mother Nature or inconsiderate lodge dwellers do to obstruct his labours!
He is a real credit to himself, his employer and above all to all those at Isis Lake; we are very lucky to have him.

Please pass on my sincere thanks for his outstanding service.

"Telford area"

Year to year price increases yet the service they provide gets worse. Have lived in property 9 years and for the first 2 they never carried out any cleaning or maintence until I contacted them. Have to contact them regularly about the cleaner not turning up, who I spoke to myself 2 months ago and she said they dont pay enough hours to cover the site so she can only do it half the time that they charge for, the grounds maintence team didn't even have my property down on there site plan, and to top it off been sent an increased bill for next year to cover extra costs for services they dont even provide, seriously wouldn't pick this company to manage my property if I had a choice there the opposite of value for money

"sickening"

Dont pay attention to the 5 star reviews. most of them are fake. At one time this site had around 40 1 star reviews and not a single 5 star review then within 2 months around 140 new 5 star reviews just appear out of nowhere??? You do the math. Terrible service company who charge extortionate rates for poor service. And the price is risen from around 950 to 1200 in a year?? Its NOT acceptable. These people need to fo there jobs and keep that price as low as possible. Do i really need to explain how thats done?? If the gardeners up there rates then sack the gardeners and find cheaper ones....if the cleaners and window cleaners up there rates then sack them and find cheaper ones....if you have an electric bill from the communal heaters thats slightly outside of the "final budget" then take it out of the sinking fund that has around 30 grand in it sat around doing nothing. its not rocket science and its not fair to have our rates rise by 250 pound in a year. Get those prices back down again. Im sick to death of being out of pocket just so i can pay for mainstays Property managers pay rises each year.

"Car parking issue assistance"

I recently had an issue whereby after surgery I couldn't access my car parking space at the property where I live as a bush was preventing me accessing my car with my limited range of movement. I contacted the mainstay support team and they were very helpful. They have arranged for the bush to be removed so I will be able to park my car and get in and out with no problem. The mainstay team then also sent me a small hamper to wish me well after surgery which was most unexpected and I was very greatful for this kind gesture.
